Some people are so delusional and stupid that they cannot understand a simple word/concept "unknown".
They insist on ascribing a reason where they are none and they insist on giving an explanation without proof or evidence.
They find it impossible to say "I don't know" "We don't know". They prefer to cling on to the delusion/s in their heads when the reality is that nobody knows.
They simply say what they want and think that others are as stupid as they are to believe things without proof and evidence, to believe what they say, to accept their opinions just because they said it. Illusions of grandeur.

There was a kid who accidentally stepped on hell notes, and resulted in a strange problem with the leg not being able to straighten (straightening in causes intense pain), and for one entire year, going to doctors was useless, until the mother had to bring the kid to a medium before the leg was able to straighten. The doctors could not decipher what was the exact problem, and injections or drugs were all useless
To be frank, wat u said is just a story which is unverifiable and IMO highly exaggerated and probably even fictionious. As someone had said, they step on hell notes and r perfectly healthy as well. Lets just ask u a question. If u r sick, will u see a doctor or a bomoh ?As again this was never a thing about Science being right or wrong. Its understanding that current Science can only explain a very small amount of things happening in this universe.
True. But it answer them correctly and truthfully and to put science as "explain a very small amount" of things happening is un understatement. At least u knwo the computer in front of u is working because of science. It is better than religion when they put in more questions than provide answers.The best thing is, this person thinks he is right calling others stupid just because Science can prove a person is stupid. As I said, there are rogue scientists who insist on going their way ignoring the consequences, and this person is one such rogue. No ethics, and no respect for other people in this forum.
To be frank, in forums u can always see people who r rude to others and showing no respect irrespective of their belief. R u sure u r not confrontational yourself ? But true, I accept that I may have overlooked the fact that the statement was against all atheists, so I apologise
Ask that person if he admits to his behavior and he will tell you he does nothing wrong.
Simply put, I accept I make mistakes and its scientific to apologize.
But go and ask that person if he is willing to admit to his mistakes, even when its all in front of him, and you see he will be deluding himself by saying he is not wrong.
Nothing wrong of coz, for a guy who thinks he can be unethical and insult others just because he thinks science has proof. -
If you read the latest astronomical articles, it was said that Science currently can only explain about 2% of everything in the universe. Who are we to be arrogant bums to think that our limited Science is the holy grail (this is pertaining to Andrew and PRP, and not all Science supporters), when we are insignificant in the vastness of the universe? (And we don't even know if this is indeed a universe, or is a multi-verse)
Anyway, I am neutral wrt religion, I am a free-thinker. I just think we should respect religions, and not belittle them. And the same goes the other way -

Science causes the skeptics in us to override all other feelings. Like I said, I know this kid, coz the aunt is a good friend of mine. So only the people close enough to them will know of this situation. They wouldn't want to look 'superstitious' by letting others know they had to approach a medium at the end.
Coming back to your question, I will see a doctor. As I mentioned, there's nothing wrong with Science. But if all else fails, of course we could try other solutions. Faith leads to substance. Sometimes with faith, your mind becomes more powerful and can overcome the illness in the body. "Mind over body" the statement has some credibility to it. People who are depressed and negative tend to be more prone to illnesses. I think this is proven by Science.
Let me go back to my secondary school days. There was a time when I developed very strange rashes, huge big patches that spread thru the whole body, and only appears at night. By day, I had zero problems, but once night comes, the irritation was so unbearable.
Went to several doctors, used numerous types of cream, medication, etc. There was nothing that could stop the rashes from coming at night. The doctors I went to had no idea what caused it after repeated visits. It was my grandmother that did a ritual at a cross-road junction, that killed the problem totally immediately after that ritual
Till today, I don't know what happened, maybe you can say its superstition and that we should believe only in Science. But if you are suffering every night and for months there is no solution from Science, you might change your mind. -

Basically what we can see in the universe is but only 2%. The remaining that cannot be seen by the naked eye is something called dark matter and dark energy, which is verified by Science to exist, but absolutely unexplainable by our current technology on their composition and characteristics.
And evolution only explains what is happening on Earth (which is probably only a grain of sand in the universe), which is yes, 2% of the facts.
Basically, for the supporters of Science, I will ask you to study more into astronomy, and you will begin to understand that once we go into space and the cosmos, many things become unexplainable by Science. Only then can one truly comprehend how limited our knowledge or tool is. -

I do not respect people who pretend to support Science, but is in fact, rude and obnoxious and totally devoid of ethics when he said he thinks there's nothing wrong with calling others stupid if Science can prove it.
To me, its impt to separate the actual sensible supporters, as against the superstitious believers of Science (like Andrew and PRP), coz I think the superstitious believers are insulting the sensible supporters
Overconsumption of tonics can cause a nosebleed. Over-zealous belief in Science will only result in such believers becoming what they belittle others of, ie, superstitious believers of Science. -
An atheist is one that does not believe in religion, and believes only in Science
According to a superstitious believer of Science, Andrew, all scientists are atheists, because scientists only believe 100% in evidence. I wonder if he has evidence to prove that all scientists are free thinkers then? -
