The dust over the homosexual drama may have seemed settled.
But believe me when I say that the homosexual lobby is indeed very powerful and they will plan another comeback.
But what is dissapointing is the fact that the people most in position to stop and educate the homosexuals, are not doing anything about it.
I'm talking about our religious leaders. Our pastors, imams, priests.
Why are our mosques, churches, temples not holding any programs when homosexuals is growing to be a big menace? They are in the best position!
Singapore has put importance on religion. It's time this sytem kicks in to salvage our youth and our future in Singapore.
I have joined the Open Entreaty to Singapore's Religious Leaders. It's time our mosques, churches temples start an education program to prevent more from suffering the homosexual mentality.
Sign the entreaty and make your voices heard.

Can't stop these things from advancing... enither do we encourage such practice.. but being Fully Global as SG is, there's no stopping the Gay community from growing as well...
I'm not implying we should condone it, but enither am I saying we should outlaw such people... they are still humans, if nature has it that they are borned with such inclinations & preferences, we should respect their disposition, so long as the common society...
Peace brothers & sisters, this world has enough of wars & hatred...

However, the argument against gambling is that it brings social ills. People lose their homes, their families, neglect their children, etc.
So it seems we make laws to protect people from harm.
How does homosexual activity between consenting adults cause harm?
Even if you see two men kissing, how does that cause another person harm? I mean, I can't stand guys who pull their pants up to their chest but I don't think that should be illegal.

You want to condemn their behavior, fine go ahead, but better not attempt to use the laws of the land to enforce your religious views on others. That is legal extremism and an attempt to place your religious views on others who may not share your same religion.

Are you a God believing person? But I think the issue here is why can't we just live and let live? No one is forcing you to be homosexual.
In your religion, if someone commits a homosexual act, he will be punished by God right? So just leave it at that and let God sort it out.Edited by Phaze 06 Nov `07, 3:30PM

And I find faroukalhadad to be a religious bigot who tries to frighten people into presecuting homosexuals with religious fears.

Actually January also doesn't like Christianity. He just tends to pick on Buddhism more because of the claim that buddhism is not a religion.

fellow singaporean, read the story i gave you, and decide who will impose on who.
It's California today - tomorrow it will be your turnReligions shouldn't be used for this purpose. However you may choose to interpret your own religion's teachings is at your own discretion. You shouldn't use your own interpretation to impose the same thinking on others, irregardless of whether they have or don't have the same religion as you.

For everything good that exists, something bad will be among them. I don't see how those examples could qualify.
