Hi All,
Do you know why all the price increases and Minister's pay rise is happening now? It all boils down to a simple policy that has happened again and again, only that Singaporeans have short memories.
Election won in 2006 and the next one is due 2011. The strategy is to increase salary n prices in 2007 no matter how unpopular it is and by 2010/2011 when the next Election is due, all would be forgotten. Give $200 - $800 per person back to the population and hey presto! You'll get 66.6% of the population voting for you and declare that you have an overwelming majority to govern for another 5 years and give sh*t to the people again!!!!
Think back all of you, this has happened before prior to the 2-3 previous elections. Only this time, they are paid so much to come up with the same formula again. What a load of rubbish!
