If Malaysia and Singapura merge and become brothers again, both of them will gain from each other and might become a world superpower.
Reason:
1)Malaysia rich natural resources and vast amount of land for more international investment.And because of the large amount of land, property tax will be very cheap and will invite more multi national company and factories to setup their base and factories here, and create alot of jobs.
2)More natural resources meaning enough food and cheaper price and also we wont depend on other country for food.And our currency will be much stronger because we got natural resources to backup our currency.
3)Singapore world efficent management in the civil service will clear up the malaysia lousy and slow management.This will result in a more fast and efficent management.A fast management in the civil service meaning our nation will be going in a more fast and efficent pace to match the world.
4)Our strong security, strong police management of our nation, if merge will take over the Malaysia police force and create a new kind of police management in them and bring about a total change of Malaysia police management.A good security will not only make our country a more safer place to live in, also more investment will come in and our money will get bigger.
5)Our busiest port will serve as a hub for the whole of Malaysia and Singapore.It will benefit not only Singapore but also Malaysia.
Just imagine Singapore becoming 100 times bigger and you will know how powerful if Singapore and Malaysia become brothers and merge as a united nation again.

I wonder if you really believe in what you are saying or just trying to start a conversation. If you really believe what you are saying, man, you are naive. If you are trying to start a conversation, you've suceeded.
If Singapore merge with malaysia... and that is a big IF, the result would be the worse of both worlds. And since Sinapore is so small, in terms of size and population, we will have no effect on the culture, business or otherwise. So those of you who is so supportive of the merger, you might as well migrate to Malaysia today, 'cos you can live your dream right away.
By the way, I think that PAP is so successful is because Singapore is so small. Give them a bigger place to run and they will end up like any other govt in the world. Our WIM should do well to remember this and not go all over the world to boast on their "expert" opinions.

your assumption is that the bulk of singapore's cabinet will be in key leadership position. i hardly think that would happen if a vote was called for.
in fact, you'll find everything we held dear to us - efficiency, prudence, sensitivity will be all thrown out the door with in place, bumi policy, corruption, religious oppression and a lot more.

you might as well say lets mobilize SAF and conquer malaysia. All 5 points is saying how we are much better than malaysia. If we are that good, we would have gone to war with them and win. Reunite with malaysia is a NONO, its either Singapore or Malaysia, no United States of bla bla bla.

Let call it Republic of SingMalay.'United States of Malaya' sounds fair considering Singapore was formerly a state in Malaya but making Singapore the capital city of course.
