Lord Lloyd-Webber, a well known composer of musicals, was impressed with Rahman's unique style and therefore hired him to compose his maiden stage production Bombay Dreams (2002). Most of his movies are often laced with high flying action, sets stunts and music and with an intense narrative that will grip ones senses from start to finish and linger in the mind long after one had seen his movie. shankar is the only director who had delivered the most number of box office hits consequetly in a row in India today and the only director has hasnt had a tight budget with films that regularly make the headlines as th emost expensive budget.
