In a country noted for 90% unhappiness, among the people, the champion to look for will be the unhappiest Singaporean not happiest Singaporean.
What is wrong with being critical of wrong doing of the government which causes such widespread unhappiness on earth.
World study of causes of unhappiness recommended as posted in this website: "20 Major Government policy errors", "The Little Red Dot" and "Proposal to revise the constitution to prevent GRC and tweaking of laws to suppress the citizens"

The nominees are:
- Prata Man (Given ridiculous pay increase for not doing his job)
- Expat (Given ridiculous pay, treated as semi-god by local SPG and gals)
- Foreign Scholar (Given scholarship, free housing and eventual free citizenship)
- The Committee (Given money to perform a chop-bo-lang task and waste tax payer money with no benefit to any one at the eventual result)
- Any one related to the Old Man (Given high post and high pay and not sacked even for making such a blunder)
- Mas Salamat (For taking the longest toilet break and testing the "world class" system that was alway being bragged about)
- Singapore-born quitter (For recognising that they have to be a "quitter" to achieve a more balanced life and for ditching a system that have greed written all over in every single policy)

Actually they tried that stunt before. Sometime last year. Here's a link to the discussion thread going on at that time.
http://www.sgforums.com/forums/10/topics/302445
I understand the government actually invited foreign reporters to come and throughout their expense-paid trips, those reporters went on their guided tours and the 'happy' side of Singapore was shown to them.
They probably left believing wholeheartedly in the happiness of Singaporeans.
The government must think we have very short memories to try and pull another stunt like that.
