The circumstances for MYJ is very tough.

1. he had to compete with a formidable party. In other countries , political competition is like a joke. almost like farrting. MYJ competed and won handsomely.

2. TW has about at least 10 - 20 million voters. This is very huge compared to other countries with a few people. TW is about 10 times the size of other countries. He won handsomely, like a man, without silver platter or spoon .

3. He is not a native, aka waishenren, and when generally no one in TW think that a non native could ever become TW president, he made it happen. He won handsomely.

MYJ went against all odds, fought many tough political battles, without inheritance, or silver platter.

MYJ is a proven political leader. Not like some countries leaders.

There are many differences.

One thing MYJ needs to ensure is :

1. if he continues to reign for decades, he must remain humble.

2. if he continues to reign for decades, he must know how real the problem of COMPLACENCY is.

3. if he continues to reign for decades, he must know that the PEOPLE hates dictators and cronism and give-relatives-goodies-lobang'ism and people who bully others in order to stay in power, by sheer brute force and not by People's wishes.

4. if he continues to reign for decades, he must know that traffic cannot be controlled even by the NASA super deep blue computers. Don't anyhow implement things that will cost drivers a lot of money that can be spent better in other areas.

5. If he reigns for decades, he must know that the people find it is unacceptable that Security is not up to scratch.

6. If he reigns for decades, he must know that he is just 1 of the jigsaw that makes TW works. The rest of the jigsaw that makes TW works are the PEOPLE. He alone will never accomplish what TW will accomplish. Period.

7. If he reigns for decades, he must know that the PEOPLE's money belongs to the PEOPLE (primary school maths). The PEOPLE will hate the idea that their hardearned money is locked away for life.

I dont think Opposition won the election.

KMT actually is the historical ruler of Taiwan.

DPP is the one who is the opposition.

So to say Opposition won the election, well....maybe not so accurate....coz actually the long-time familiar ruler is back again.

For me, I like this, because DPP and CSB is too provocative. It is good to have stable hands at the helms.
