AT LAST, SOME TRUTH ABOUT IRAQ AND
AFGHANISTAN

PARIS - After a sea of lies and a tsunami of propaganda, the
ugly truth behind the Iraq and Afghanistan wars finally emerged
into full view this week.

Four major western oil companies, Exxon, Mobil, Shell, BP and
Total, are about to sign US-brokered no-bid contracts with the
US-installed Baghdad regime to begin exploiting Iraq’s oil fields.
Saddam Hussein had kicked these firms out three decades ago when he
nationalized Iraq’s foreign-owned oil industry for the benefit of
Iraq’s national development. The Baghdad regime is turning back the
clock.

This agreement comes as talks are continuing between the Washington
and its Baghdad client regime over future US basing rights in Iraq.
After some face-saving Iraqi objections, it is expected that
Baghdad will sign a compact with Washington giving US forces
control of Iraq and its air space in a manner very similar to Great
Britain’s colonial arrangement with Iraq...

Why Hezbollah's Victory may lead to peace in the
Middle East:

Interview
with Franklin Lamb

Question: Are the prospects for peace in the
region better or worse with a well armed Hezbollah?

Franklin Lamb: Better in the sense that there is for the
first time in modern history an Arab/Muslim deterrence to
Zionist and Western colonialism. Worse in the sense that
the US and Israel are rapidly losing influence and
viability in the Middle East and may once again resort to
war to stem the breach...

<a href=

Citing Iraq War, Renowned Attorney Vincent Bugliosi
Seeks “The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder”

...After the meeting, Manning prepares a five-page memo stamped
“extremely sensitive,” in which he summarizes what was said at the
meeting.

And Manning writes that Bush and Blair expressed their doubts
that any weapons of mass destruction would ever be found in Iraq,
although two months later they went there because they said they
had the weapons and we had to disarm them.

But it gets much, much, much worse. Manning wrote that
Bush was so worried, so upset, over the failure of the UN
inspectors to find weapons of mass destruction, that he talked
about three ways to, quote, “provoke a confrontation with Hussein,”
one of which, Bush said, was to, quote, “fly U2 aircraft,
reconnaissance aircraft, over Iraq, falsely painted in United
Nations colors,” and Bush said if Hussein fires upon them, this
will be a breach of UN resolutions and justify war...

Dictator Hissene Habre Lead Quest to Bring Him to
Justice

AMY GOODMAN: First, tell the story, Reed.
Tell the story of how Hissène Habré came to power, was forced out,
and where he stands today.

REED BRODY: Well, Hissène Habré was a local
warlord in Chad, which is a Central African country just south of
Libya. And at the time, Ronald Reagan—when Ronald Reagan came into
office, he was looking for ways to counter Muammar Gaddafi’s
expansionist designs on Chad...

policy the US is pursuing causes tremendou division and suffering
in the world. Read this blog entry (<a href="/forums/10/topics/"

USA: The Good Empire replied by Meat Pao @ Thu, 22 May 2008 23:53:37 +0800

Hi....I havent read all the pages...but I did read some.....

For me....USA........I am a little scared of USA.....u know
why....?

In my opinion USA has a dangerous ideology.

I am not an expert but I think USA is a.....

Freedomo-fascist and democrato-fascist.

Each country, or society, people, have an underlying belief
system or idea, value system, building block, and a world view,
which drives it, and determine its motivations and actions....

They are obsessed with this idea called 'Freedom' or
'democracy'.

If we look at other societies, all shades of ideology is there
in this world. From religion, tradition, culture, all sorts of
beliefs and world-view exist.

However, there are not many societies who want to 'spread' their
belief system to the world.

It happens from time to time, for example communism....and
people used to say communism is a threat, communism is a global
threat...

Well...what about now..?

Now one empire is gone, another empire takes over and is
spreading his value system overtime.

They like their system, thats fine, thats nice for them, I
congratulate them. But I worry because they are trying to impose
their values on others.

They are spreading 'freedom' and 'democracy' to the world.

It is used in international arena to justify their actions
around the world.

It is also abused, as a pretext, to achieve their aims.

Too often, 'freedom' and 'democracy' is a rallying call, a
selling point, jargon, and slogan, used by them to rally and
militan-ize their population to support their government
actions.

Iraq.....'we are building an enduring democracy in
middle-east'.....

Officials on TV will say.....'this is a challenge for us, they
attack us because of our freedom, but freedom will
prevail'........

Ukraine....a big intervention was mounted during their election,
and USA say 'Ukraine will now have freedom and democracy' .

Yes that is nice, and even more nice, Ukraine election winner
will join NATO and allow their missile defence.

So I think we need to open our eyes wide, and see whats going
on. There is a hyper country who use his ideology in good use.

I did remember a word surfacing in USA publications.....it is quite
recent....it is called 'Islamofascist'......At first I thought,
this is a perversion...but when I read further, I understand what
they are thinking...

But if we examine the characteristics of what USA is doing
now....its just the same...just wrapped in another cloth.....so I
give these 2 words for them, which very aptly describe them...

Freedomofascist and Democratofascist.

Poh Ah Pak you disappointed me....

As long as the US gets what it wants it would not bark or bites.
The US has befriended PAP regime which is undemocratic because the
PAP is cooperative to the US government policy. While counties like
Iraq under the late Saddam Hussein was not.

When you cannot convince them, buy them. When you cannot buy
them, intimidate them, when intimidation fails, annihilate them.
That sort of foreign policy exists between current nations imo.

In the end foreign policy is about how big your coffer is. And
how big your gun is. In case the other side is not interested in
your coins.

USA: The Good Empire replied by Poh Ah Pak @ Tue, 20 May 2008 13:01:46 +0800

The US Has Lost Control: Latin America Has "Created its
Own Neighbourhood"

Eva Golinger, a US-Venezuelan lawyer who has dedicated
herself to exposing US intervention in Venezuela and is the author
Chavez vs Bush, explained to Green Left Weekly that behind these
events was the fact that the US "have lost control in this
region, and this is something that is incredible threatening for
the US empire".

"They are seeking out a way to divide and create conflict in
the region", said Golinger "in order to impede integration in the
region".

"The backyard of the US has gone; it's created its
own neighbourhood, and the US isn't part of it", commented
Golinger.

http://www.venezuelanalysis.com/analysis/3460

Sun Tzu says:

For should the enemy strengthen his van, he will weaken his
rear; should he strengthen his rear, he will weaken his van; should
he strengthen his left, he will weaken his right; should he
strengthen his right, he will weaken his left. If he sends
reinforcements everywhere, he will everywhere be weak.

http://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/sun-tzu/works/

USA send their troops to invade and occupy Iraq, five years
already, still no outcome.

USA influence is thus weakened in their backyard.

2. When you engage in actual fighting, if victory is long in
coming, then men's weapons will grow dull and their ardor will be
damped. If you lay siege to a town, you will exhaust your
strength.

3. Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources of
the State will not be equal to the strain.

4. Now, when your weapons are dulled, your ardor damped,
your strength exhausted and your treasure spent, other chieftains
will spring up to take advantage of your extremity. Then no man,
however wise, will be able to avert the consequences that must
ensue.

5. Thus, though we have heard of stupid haste in war,
cleverness has never been seen associated with long
delays.

6. There is no instance of a country having benefited from
prolonged warfare.

<a href=
