    • Then what you expect, for mainstream media to criticise PAP regime?

Mainstream media criticise Lee Kuan Yew?

Lee Kuan Yew doesn't like people to criticise him.

      He will sue.

I will make a deal with Lee Kuan Yew, if he dies now, I will praise him.

I will say that he is a great man, a huge loss to Singapore.

      But he must die.

    • For fear for my life,

I cannot say my real feelings about CNN.

But what i can say is, I find the news predictable.

That is 1 of the several reasons, whenever I can dont buy the news, I dont. I not only save some money, I also make sure money is given to people who deserve it more. I dun mean they doon deserve but i mean people like the more unfortunate. I rather give away money to these. again, not saying that the cnn dont deserve. We all know why i have to say this. For fear of .....

as long as u know i know, there is no need to say it loud.

But I urge everyone to tell everyone we meet or come across to think like this always:

      1. Whatever is reported, think of what is not reported. I learn this from the concept of balance your left ball with your right ball. Like this more healthy.

For example, a tabloid says Casino is good for economy. full stop. I would add and tell myself, hey, there is another side of the story. That a Casino usually cause a lot of social problems. 1 life too many. No money can buy life.

      2. I always ask myself, is a publication that i am reading a propagandong (u know i wtf i mean can liao)?  To be safe, I must say, there is no propagandong ever in the history of publication I have read. Never ever ever ever. If believe me ah?

I am as neutral as the press, the editors, dy editors, radio DJs, public personalities, businessmen, elites.

      The Elements of Journalism

According to The Elements of Journalism by Bill Kovach and Tom Rosensteil, there are nine elements of journalism [1]. In order for a journalist to fulfill their duty of providing the people with the information they need to be free and self-governing. They must follow these guidelines:

                              1. Journalism's first obligation is to the truth.
                              2. Its first loyalty is to the citizens.
                              3. Its essence is discipline of verification.
                              4. Its practitioners must maintain an independence from those they cover.
                              5. It must serve as an independent monitor of power.
                              6. It must provide a forum for public criticism and compromise.
                              7. It must strive to make the significant interesting, and relevant.
                              8. It must keep the news comprehensive and proportional.
                              9. Its practitioners must be allowed to exercise their personal conscience.

On the April 2007 edition of the book [2], they have added one additional element, the rights and responsibilities of citizens to make it a total of ten elements of journalism.
      -—-

The local mass media is nothing but a mouthpiece of the PAP.

    • State propaganda is okay.

The state also needs a voice.

Tell you about ERP increases, tell you to buy frozen meat, tell you to eat potato.

But there should also be a private independent media to criticise bullshit state policies.

That does not exist in Singapore.

The entire mainstream media exists to propagate state propaganda.

It is a servant of the state.

    • to know the world you must watch

      CNN, BBC, TVB asia.

      CNN and their Tibetan horseshit?

To know the world you must see the world, not sit in front of TV.
