    • info from shin min daily dated 15 May 2008:

Besides the SCDF DART team and their relief supplies of medical, clothes, blankets..., govt monetary donation = US$200K...

even private organisations donate more than that like some land developer organisation.

where is Temasek n GIC (assets: $billions)? when it comes to investment, invest here n there. SG sign FTAs, calls for foreign investment in SG, yet then they r appealing for assist help, most of the time i read newspaper, SG govt somehow cap the maximum donation to US$200 000...

    • i can safely say that if the gabrament sends a shitload of money, there will be a bunch of idiots in SC ranting against the gabrament saying shit like "supporting Burma" or "throw away money.. spend on Singaporeans instead"

To send nothing, would make us seems 'Unfriendly'......

To send too much, would make S'poreans to start complaining again...

    • We already have the largest contingent of rescue specialists on the ground there right now.

And we are one of the first, almost at the same time as the japanese to enter chengdu.
