No decision made yet...but I oppose raising fares. The government must shift the balance from private car ownership to increasing public transport usage. They need to introduce more competition to offer greater choice and force transport companies to offer better services for less fare. How to do that? Allow them to bring in more foreign bus drivers, train drivers and taxi drivers at low salaries.

The government will say it is none of my problem and do you want the two companies to close down.
Various solutions have already been offered by the internet community before the previous two fee hike.
None of them were heeded.
The people in power want more golden eggs to boost their income and ego.
The survival of the golden goose is not a concern as replacement is readily available from other countries.

Can anyone tell me is Singapore the only first world country ( first world as claimed by the Pay and Pay gahmen) that keeps increasing prices/fares of the essentials, constantly raising the costs of living, discourage pay rise/increment during high inflation?
Do we still need such govt to take care of us?
Recently the ministers seem taking turns to discourage pay increment of the ordinary people. They are all working on the same agenda to suck more from Singaporeans while they continue to enjoy their obscene high salary at our expense.
These transport companies that keep unreasonably increasing fares belong to Temasek HOldings isn't it? Temasek Holdings is under Ho Ching who belongs to the Lee Family

SMRT said even a maximum fare adjustment of 3 per cent will not fully mitigate the inflationary pressures.
WE were not born yesterday to be conned by believing the above. With the high inflation the greedy transport company which belongs to Temasek Holdings is increasing fares by 3% as compared to 1% or 2% last year. Govt simply refuse to help during high inflation, instead suck more from the people. Please vote for PAP if people are for unreasonable, unnecessary fares hikes every now and then.

IF I AM THE GOVERNMENT, In my upcoming BUDGET. I would place emphasis on the public transport and place a lump sum of est $10 million of susidy for the PEOPLE.
PAP encourange ppl to take public transport but did not help to susidy.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY DOING?
Disappointed with the way they rule. MONEY ALWAYS surface the bad side of human.
