    • Pl take note that Ravi's arrest most likely leading to internal dispute

inside SDP,probably between CSJ and Uncle Yap.

      pl read my 13.05.2008 posts.

U can accuse PAP ,LKY or whoever doing whatever in present day

or  during Japanese occupation.Of course,u have to face the consequence.

But there is no sure ticket than insulting other religion to catch

the attention and guranteed actions of police.

I can give u Gurantee that Police will act.

But i am troubled by Uncle Yap's story that the disorderly behavior

       happened in Sri Marimman Temple.

Or did he misbehave in both?

Lawyer M Ravi arrested and charged with disturbing mosque prayers
By Satish Cheney, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 11 August 2008 2332 hrs

SINGAPORE : Singapore lawyer M Ravi was charged in court on Monday for disturbing a religious assembly.

The lawyer, who has represented the Singapore Democratic Party in previous civil cases, was allegedly disrupting evening prayers at the Jamae Chulia mosque on August 3 at about 7.30pm.

He is said to have been shouting and interrupting the religious proceeding and when approached by devotees, is alleged to have verbally abused them.

According to the police, this is not the first time the lawyer has behaved this way.

They said he is known to have behaved violently and abusively at places of worship, shops, the Subordinate Courts, and other public areas.

Bail has been set at S$8,000.

Police say behaviour that undermines racial and religious harmony will not be tolerated, especially when the provocative act takes place in a place of worship while prayers are being conducted. - CNA/ms

famiLEE LEEgime Arrested & Charged M Ravi to White-Wash itself

This morning between 10am to 11am, human rights lawyer Mr M Ravi was arrested in his own office and charged in Court 26 at about 4pm. I was informed and attended his mentioning in Court 26 at about 5pm.

Mr. Ravi face 2 charges, including disorderly behavior and disrupting religious ceremony at Hindu Temple of Sir Marianman (Temple Street China Town). This was for an incident happened on 3.Aug.2008 (Sunday) at the Hindu Temple. However, the famiLEE LEEgime's mata did not arrest nor summoned Mr. Ravi for any such investigation during the many days lapsed including National Day. I recalled Mr. Ravi telling me last week that he was assaulted at the temple before many witnesses, as I was on trial then with Dr. CSJ daily for the last 4 weeks, I had not much idea what happened at that temple.

      @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

2.Will Chee Soon Juan and buddies pl verify story before they post

I list below a old story that CSJ pasted a news on SDP site that Ravi was detained

by police before he flied to other country.

But in fact ,Ravi was checked into a private psychiatric and psychological

hospital.U would be naive if u think CSJ did not know

the whereabout of Ravi when he copied and pasted the news from

      FaLun Gong site.

The defense lawyer in the trial, Mr. Ravi, had intended last week to fly to Geneva to make a presentation to the U.N. Human Rights Commission about this trial, but was detained before he could leave Singapore.

---''Singapore detains reporter covering sensitive trial'',The Epoch Times,Sep 24, 2006.

2.can Mr Chee Soon Juan vertify this before he put so much reports
on his party's side.does the party endorse all these reports
      or just Chee's personal favours?

      added 26.09.2006 tue---who is a liar
3.mr ravi was not detained by pap,but checked into Adam hospital on 20.09.2006 wed , which provides private psychiatric and psychological services.---Strait Times 26.09.2006 p. H2.

4.CSJ should have known ravi's admission and by quoting the news
above,he purposely blackened sg again.a 5 cent SMS to ravi can
clarify this news.but our  PhD Chee did not bother to do this.
May be CSJ too busy or too tied after he finished his show on 19.09.tue,

CSJ may be hinted PAP adopting USSR tactics by sending
      dissendents into MPH--Mad People Hospital.
We are insulting those dissendents in USSR if we

call CSJ and ravi as dissendents.

    • what has happened inside SDP and what happened between them and

Chia Ti Lik,arising from the arrest of lawyer M Ravi?

      First,Chia deleted the link

      of his blog http://chiatilik.wordpress.com/

      to

      http://uncleyap-news.blogspot.com/

during the day time on Tue 12 Aug.The link still valid in the morning.

      secondly,CSJ appealed for correct statement

We also call on activist bloggers to refrain from exploiting this matter by posting inaccurate statements about Mr Ravi's situation and stoking sentiment against the authorities, including the police.

2.Damn wrong info by Uncle Yap

      In his 11 Aug 2008 blog,he claimed:

Mr. Ravi face 2 charges, including disorderly behavior and disrupting religious ceremony at Hindu Temple of Sir Marianman (Temple Street China Town). This was for an incident happened on 3.Aug.2008 (Sunday) at the Hindu Temple.

      3.Charges of Ravi

disrupting religion workship inside a mosque

      abusive language to a workshipper

    • What is wrong with Uncle Yap?

According to Uncle Yap,Ravi was arrested in the morning of Monday

and appeared in court in the same afternoon.

Now Yap said Ravi had not eaten'' since the night before''.

Police could not be responsible for Ravi not taking any foods in the evening

      of Sunday and Monday breakfast!!

Has Ravi requested for any drink or foods in police station?

      http://uncleyap-news.blogspot.com/

      12 aug 2008

Yesterday in Court 26, after he was charged with the 2 aboves, Mr. M Ravi told the judge that he had no food since the night before, and was not given any food nor drink at Cantonment Police Complex where he was arrested and detained, he had been hungry all the way until he was in court.

    • The 13.08.2008 Uncle Yap post almost confirms there is

some disciplinary problem in this once--strongest opposition

      party.

Uncle Yap said it is my blog and i am the decision maker.

CSJ ''call on activist bloggers to refrain from exploiting this matter by posting inaccurate statements about Mr Ravi's situation and stoking sentiment against the authorities, including the police.''

take a good look on Yap's posts--

      other postings from news releases.

Who else had Mr M Ravi took on recently

My recent blog post on Mr. M Ravi:

It is up to you all to decide weather this matter is sensitive enough or not.

There are many different opinions and ideas around me always regarding what I should or should not post on the internet or what angle should matters be presented. I will hear these guys out but I will make my own decisions, it is my blogs and my postings after all, I must have my own final say.

Discipline is a must for all political party to grow and win power
Chinese Communist Party grew from less than 10 comrades in 1927
to control China in 1949.PAP grew from 1954 to win power in few years.
To show to LKY that a MP was controlled by Malaya Communist Party,
the Plen,Fang Chuang Pi,ordered a MP to resign. And the MP did resign!!

The Central Executive Committee of any political party,
in 1950's and 2010's, chart the route and
EVERY member MUST follow the order to advance,no less
like a military operation. The latter may just last for few months.
But to win a power may take years or decades.

However, some Opposition Party just lack of organisation and
laws!!We dunt know the material released, like on its web site,
is just represent the ideas of few guys or
the whole CEC of the Party.

Politically and legally speaking, who will be responsible
      when the materials go wrong.

''it is my blogs and my postings after all, I must have my own final say.'':Uncle Yap

      who is NOT SDP member!!!

''We also call on activist bloggers to refrain from exploiting this matter by posting inaccurate statements about Mr Ravi's situation and stoking sentiment against the authorities, including the police.''---Chee Soon Juan

      Oh My mistake and misunderstanding----

Uncle Yap is in fact ,IS NOT member of SDP

I hope my mistake will not lower the standing of both parties involved.

Pl accept my utmost apology for the mistake.

I retract my statement unconditionally and wholly.

Inaccuracy at the beginning /breaking stage when info available was little had already been corrected.

Against the authorities - I don't always share the same stance and position with SDP on this. I have my own strategies & directions. I am not a member of SDP

and uncle Yap blogs for another incident in

Sri Marianman Temple where he lost his passport

in July 2008 after he could not open his locker.

Therefore,he could not go to HK to attend Human Rights meeting.

Police was called and Uncle Yap was there to witness.

    • Ravi was involved in both incidents.

Anyway, as for whether it is politically motivated or not, let's remember Ravi was caught in the act in both instances. How to dispute that? Because of who he is, it suddenly becomespolitically motivated? An offence is an offence, no matter who the person doing it is. It does not suddenly becomes politically motivated when the person committing it is an opposition member. He can be another tom dick or harry and it is still an offence.

i think no one dared to disturb religion assembly in the past 15

years, not to mention in a workship place.

if u want to creat trouble, just disturb any one in workship,

      especially during  7 th Month.

I think if u get hitted ,Judge will not pity u!!

Why did Ravi discharged Chia Ti Lik as defense lawyer?

And now,Uncle Yap said Ravi dunt have defense lawyer in court

      and NOT fair!!

Ravi himself is a qualified lawyer and carrying a valid practicing certifiate.

He represents himself and will do so tomorrow.

DPP said Rave shall be sent to IMH to check up.

Uncle Yap said Ravi is not suitable to defend himself.

But Ravi said he is ok.No need to be sent to IMH for check

      up.

    • Ravi will be continued kept in IMH for 2 more weeks

      further observation,

after he kept there for past 2 weeks.

Pl dunt compare gavaman with KGB's tactics of keeping

      dissidents in mental hospitals.

First,no one in SG is comparable with dissidents in USSR era, yet.

CNA and His fren alreday reports his case.

      http://www.singaporeindianvoice.blogspot.com/

In today ST,he claimed he is Top Human Right lawyer in SG.

Ravi said his doctor in Adam Road Hospital( a private

psychiatric medical centre) can certify that he is ok.

Ravi has admitted into the Adam Rd Hosp before.

So,pl dunt mix up politics and his health.
