      tell me! are you certain we have only 2 signit planes and i m quite sure Janes Defence didnt wrote 2 signit planes only!! As a military enthusiast yourself,i believe you are aware the information is right under on your door steps.

      PLS PLS!! do some research!! you will realise you can easiily find tis information in @ least 6 out of 10 website with related articles Confused

      i have searched the Janes site which i posted in opening thread.
      have u?
      i serached ''SIGINT'' and find only thses 2 planes,excluding
      four E-2C upgraded AEW of course.

      I believe we have not just 2 SIGINT planes in our airforce but rather 2 types of planes with exact quantity unknown. Very Happy

      well i see them fly over my camp almost everyday or when i go outfied. pretty nice sight to see them

      Heh, planes are not just the only platforms used for SIGINT. We are a port city afterall… =)

      How many do you need before the bullets start flying?

      Given our stretegic location and the lack of developed enemies (who will do ECCCM) why waste money on more then 2 (offically).

      Unofficial there's word of a herky bird with a bellyful of recycled PII parts missing from Citraya's store. (Citraya being a chip component recycler).

      ELINT is valuable before a shoot up, seldom able to suvive a slingout during. In any shooting match, only ECM matters (ECCM, ECCCM boleh).

      BTW ECM - Electronic Countermeasures. things you do to block the enemy transmissions.
      ECCM - Electronic Counter Countermeasures, things you do to counter ECM.
      ECCCM.. and the list goes on.

      I think u may have misunderstood us when we referred to SIGINT. ELINT is only one portion of SIGINT. I think what is important as well is being able to intercept communications as well, to hear what they are talking about. COMINT.

      air is not the only platform, can have land and sea also ma Laughing

      but i guess air coverage is bigger ba Mr. Green
