    • During the first WW, singapore suffered econmically and during second we suffered jap invasion and a few volunteer troops die too.

Can we survive WWIII if our forces are sent to the battlefield in mid east?
How many of our troops can return if 100,000 men are send?
80%? 60% or less given our NS training

    • This US bush campaign worries me as he's calling out for soldiers being drafted to fight in mid east..

Now with Iran coming,in, USA allies will need to do more and sending the men there is not far fetch..
If US troopers are coming home disabled and body bags, u think how well 100,000 of
      us can fight and survive?

WWI has no effect on Singapore..... or very minimal. The only losses were the death of british officers here.. when the british indian troops stationed here were rumoured to go to the warfront.... so they revolted....

WWII saw the immediate conscripts of singapore natives who wants to fight alongside the british.... however.. they lacked training. However, it is notable they fight valiantly.....

And what makes you think WWIII will be fought in the middle east?

    • I’m willing to bet my left nut that WW3 revolves around the ME.

    • I really don’t think Singapore would send any troops to the middle east. Considering the amount of troops Singapore has compared to most other countries it would be a big mistake sending away troops because even with all their troops in the country Singapore would be totally screwed if another country were to invade unless it can get help from an ally.

    • yeah. maybe send in a battalion of regulars for combat duty in iraq or afghanistan. its a chance of a lifetime to get some real experience in the war against terror. it’ll do wonders to the SAF.

My little boys and girls, pls go do some proper research before making statements like this. You all obviously have no idea and background information on military matters.

Don't make a fool of yourselves.

This thread should be in chit chat.
