    • Makes a far better recruitment video than our lameo skyscraper-ships-and flowerpot-cannonballs one.

    • If it happened in Singapore, I am pretty sure that some member of the public will be quick to complain and question whether the SAF is using the time of NSFs properly, then the whole NS policy will be questioned again… I’m sure you can see why we have less tolerance for this kind of stuff.

Not a valid point in Singapore context.

Since when did a democratic process such as "questioning government policies" produce any effect to a policy thats already in place?

Singaporeans may not like it but will still lan lan shut up and put up with it.

IMO, SAF does not condone such exercise of creativity in order to build a professional image so that foreign powers will take us seriously. Its part of being a military deterrence.

The United States Navy doesn't really care. Everybody knows they are more than capable of being a deterrence. Silly music videos or not.

More often than you'd think. The workfare bonus is one, violating the unspoken but always present no-welfare stand that the government used to take.

But I'd agree about the deterrence thing. The fact that major powers don't take us seriously can be seen in the bionix and ultimax Laughing no point making it worse.
