<!-- Abstract --><!-- Document Type --><!-- Publication Date -->Title:Bootless inline skate(lion note:in our case,it is with boot!!)Publication Date:02/20/2003Document Type and Number:United States Patent 20030034618Kind Code:A1<!-- Page link -->Abstract:A skate with inline wheels is disclosed that employs a lever (termed a mast) to provide the upright support and lateral control usually supplied by a stiff boot or shell. The lever doesn't trap heat and perspiration as will the boot or shell, particularly since these must be lined with heavy padding to provide a modicum of comfort. Moreover, unlike the skate boot, the mast may be folded back along the frame of the skate when not in use to enhance portability and minimize the need for storage space. Additionally, the various embodiments of the invention are easier to put on and take off than traditional designs. These features gain additional utility when considered in combination, which have the collective efficacy to usher the inline design into entirely new applications. The inventor considers that the impressive speed of inline skates generally, combined with the features disclosed herein, may someday cast this erstwhile toy and sports accessory into a new role as a practical transport machine.more info in the link.
Pl invent and apply patent or talk to MINDEF,DSTA,DSO,or IE Spore for appling patent.Good Luck!!

i've always regarded ur posts with neutrality. but i think this one........is really quite crap.
1) training time - its bad enough ns is cut down to minimally 1 yr 10 mths, which compromises on training time. good for soldiers:) bad for trainers. to skate proficiently may take up to 2 months or more.
2) how r u gonna go into vegetation? or if u r an urban warrior, how to go up stairs properly and quickly?
3) it'll get lost, the same way ur kneepads get lost, or ur rifle cleaning kit.
4)it looks quite painful.
5) this is not gonna work for any of the vocations. not even infantry.

"2.Have i told u go into wrong place with this skate?"
I believe the problem is you can't go anywhere with this skate, not especially when you are "skating" with over 30 kilos of stuff.
"3.any thing may get lose, including yourself!"
I am sure given how useless a pair of skates are to a grunt in the field, he will quickly "lose" it and gladly sign the 1206
"4. and 5.Thats why i need u guys valuable input lah."
Here's my input, based on what we read in your posts:
Basic english and simple logic training would be far more useful for our troops

"Question:Any inventions?"
BTW, there's a human powered transport that has been used by the military to good use and certainly more useful and faster then skates... it's called a bicycle.

Skates? Leave it for the beach patrol police.

noisy lion:
Bicycle troops are still okay..... the Japs showed the versatility of the bicycle in the invasion of Malaya during WWII.
Ski troops in snow warfare is still okay..... ski troops gave the Soviets hell during the Winter War phase of WWII.
But, uh.... inline skate troops? They're totally counterproductive in jungle warfare and almost totally useless in urban warfare. At least you can toss aside a bike if needed.... but uh.... taking off your blades and putting your boots on is a lot more difficult.
Don't believe me? Try charging up a staircase or a hill in a pair of rollerblades, then tell me what you think, okay?

Thanks, but we already have motorbikes for medium to long distance, and yes, motorbikes off-road, and through jungles not too dense. We have training for it; there's a SOC for military bikes class 2B licence.
