or he is saying you lose the island to Malaysia and then refuse to give it up.

You know if we get that piece of rock, all the sea within 3 nautical miles around that piece of rock is ours. The sea between that rock and our mainland is also ours. No more dispute. Who knows, maybe one day, we will reclaim land from that rock and expand our land area. That is what the dispute is all about.
