How many of you here often quarrel with parents? How do you tackle with such problems?

Do any of you think that during quarrels, parents always win? For my case, they also feel that they are always right and I am always wrong.

Sometimes can reason, sometimes i just give way cause no matter what they are my parents after all -
That is what I always being thinking. Just give in because they are our parents. but this is why they think they are always correct, because they 'won' in the quarrel.

i dun quarrel with my parents. i let my dad nag and scream and beat table for 2 hours then he will go out and play table tennis.....

erm, what's so great abt winning a quarrel? does winning a quarrel make u feel greater?
this may boil down to emotional barrier betw u n ur parents. so, where did it go wrong? what happens to the good thing u spent together. do u think ur parents hated u? or they loved u?
communication is impt, has their way of putting advise across to you stopped at the use of cane? or tight slaps? or they simply did not use tough measures to get message across to you?
or is it tat they r being abusive and borned loser and just wanna pick a fight?
these r tough qn for you to think abt. ifthey love u for what you are, put it across to them your thinking. it is impt u realize n remember u only hv a set of parents n they only hv a natural child - ie u. there is no substitute for parental love. nor respect back fr u.

try to give in if you can. i used to ignore my parents when they were still around. but after their passing i feel nothing but regrets!!

I like to believe that parents do not intentionally argue or quarrel with us. I also believe their intentions are always meant well but perhaps they do not know how to react to certain situations or their approach is like old school.
Either we try to convince them that it is easier on us if we can hear negative comments in a kinder tone or we just have to accept that it is the style of the old age. Besides, they don't know any better. They were never trained; no school for that so just use the same method that they grew up with.
It is not easy to be a parent either. Sometimes the pains they feel are translated into anger. I think it will be easier for you to accept it when you believe that they love you and meant well for you.
In any case, it is a two-way thing. If you don't do anything that gives them a reason to nag, I guess that will help too. No? Both levels just got to work it out. All the best. -

mine picks a fight with me when they do something i don't like or i do something they don't like...the conseqence?
often...things like the packet rice is thrown...doors slammed...black face...those sort of tings...of course...when the rice is thrown on the floor...yours truely keeps quiet and clean up...

Normally i give in to them. But my parents seldom pick on something to quarrell about, as it they knew that i already grown up and knew how to think.

Nope, try to "win" because parents are not necessary right and you have to show them who's boss, just because they are your parents doesn't mean they are "big".
