    • After reading the post by august2005 and all their replies, is it possible to totally siam or don bother with this kind of things and continue with ur own job scope. My caracter is like if i get involve in this kind of things, it will seroiusly affect my work performance and I hate the kind of feeling of always having prevent ppl from backstabbing.

what must i do if i were to aviod all this nonsense and just "work normal"...

    • Do you have to work in a team ? If not ..then you dun even have to get yourself involved.. Maintain a neutral position...

I realise that even though I sit in a corner working...people still talk about me so let them say what they like...just do my work, times up, go home...

but tat does not mean I does not friends in my office ... Smile

      i used to do that.

after i left for home my subordinate told my swiss boss that she has a lot of work, hence she cannot afford to go home on time. the swiss boss sent me an e-mail the next morning saying that i should stay back after office hours to help out.

actually she stayed back to wait for her husband. frankly female colleagues are unbelievable!!!

      so much for hardwork.

No fixed rules here. It all depends on your working environment and what you're out to achieve.. Sometimes 'working normal' works... Sometimes it doesn't... Sometimes you have to play along at least to an extent... Sometimes you need not... As to how you should 'play along' and the methods, I shall not discuss here... As I personally do not encourage 'office politics'...

If you've got serious problems you're encountering at your workplace, perhaps you can PM me and tell me the exact situation should you need personal advices...

      Regards.

Actually its just that I want to stay clear between those "warzones" and just carry on with my daily routine/work. I find it veri tiring to be part of those "invisible bullets" of having to siam here and there...... best if there is a way to stay clear...

Tiring or not, when there are bullets coming in your path.. You DUCK them.

Alternatively, you can choose to pick up a weapon and join in the 'game' or you can just go elsewhere if you think there'll be better luck?
