would like to see the general reaction of pple after i relate my story...
SCENARIO:
suppose u are new to ur work env, and u have not been skiving but doing ur job to the best of ur ability...
one fine day, one of the tua pais in ur workplace started an email to sort of "hint" that you are not doing something that u were supposed to, and the email was mass mailed to everyone in ur workplace... in actual fact, there had been a comm breakdown prev by other pple so much so that u werent informed... btw, the contents of the email were not exactly very kind, and it is cc to a lot of other bigger tua pais...
the matter was then settled behind closed doors by the person who caused the comm breakdown...
MY QUESTION:
if u were me, would u send an email out to state ur stand and clarify the matter again with all those tua pais, or would u keep quiet and assume that the matter is properly settled by ur immediate sup?

I think in my opinon,what u should do is
Send out a email,just stating that u never skive...and if there are rumors,ignore it..just do your work to the best..results will show
Don't keep on defending urself, just once is enough...many times will seem that you are hiding something

jobs are hard to find these days. pls dun quit so soon unless u are very cornered leaving w/o a single choice.
cherish ur job and stay on track. as for the political kind of situation here, i think u should bring it up and stand up for it. just be wise and know when to stand firm. that's abt it all. -

yeah!! i got supporter... let me now tell u all what i did..
i was so pissed that i couldnt just let the matter rest... so i wrote an email stating my side of the story, and couldnt careless what happens after that...
know what happened in the end? one of my sup even told me that i shouldnt reply, and that the email was actually meant to highlight some other issues and wasnt attacking anyone in general... if u had read my email, no way would you believe that the email wasnt directing at you specifically...
i mean, as colleagues, if the matter isnt too serious, i believe in checking with the person in question first before launching an email that will possibly cast someone in the bad light... -

in the end, becoz too many emails pertaining to this matter were flying all over the place, the boss had to step in to calm the situation down...
but wat made it worse was that one of my immediate sup said that itz not meant to be a personal attack, and the work env is actually very open so there are no worries that pple are "backstabbing" others...
would u believe?

no lah, wont quit becoz of such stupid incidents... but really, wouldnt u want to state ur case when something like happened to u?

when you say the matters is settled behind close doors??? do you mean that the big shots know of the misunderstandings and know that it wasn't your fault? ask your superior, it'll act as a hint to them to sort it out on your behalf too.
whatever the case, I don't think you should persue the matter anymore.... because as you said. you are new there and being new, you do not need to make any enemies, esp enemies of your superiors...

yah if its me, I will write an email to clarified also ah! I hate those people who bully colleage just because they are lower rank. be nice and polite, just clarified in a polite way that wont offend those tua pais loh. if not got knife stab at your back secretly.

Seriously... What else do you expect your supervisor to tell you..? They are suppose to say 'assuring' things what....?
