IS ITE really useless?

Ok...put it in this way..If u got 20+ pts for O lvl. there isnt much good course to choose from..
will u rather go to a ITE to find a better one or go for poly but wif lousy courses? -
those engineering courses in poly are not exactly lousy just becuz they got a high cop..
but its due to demand.. -
If I got 20+ pts and I can't go into a specific course in poly or JC, I would either retake my 'O' levels OR enter into any course in poly and make sure I do well enough to enter the course I want in university. Anway, we can always choose other areas to study in at university, different to what we learn in poly.

I'm one good example.
I graduated from ITE with Certificate of Merit.
Next sem will be my last sem in Poly.
Does that make me more employable?

means you get the pay of ITE + diploma = 1,500 + 2,000 = 3.5k!!!!

U will be useless if u go else where & cannot produce good results.....
Seriously most poly students do well are those who studied from ITE previously...

No such things.. they only take the higher qualification..
but they will look into ur other qualifications..
I think my starting salary will be ard 1.5k only. -

But current job market pay rate at the moment ito get $1500 is juz like waiting for the gold to drop from the sky, especially if u are hoping for that to be your starting pay...... -

if not, then pick the course you want in ITE. -

choose a course that u have interest in..
eg, if u like business, study HNITEC in business if u can.. if u cannot, NITEC COS, then promote to HNITEC, work hard, get gd results and go to poly. -

U can still get at $1700 for fresh diplomas....... chances is 4 in 33 from wat i heard from its feedback... -

There is no such thing as a good course....lots of people like IT courses...but some cant program to save their lives...so what good would an IT course be to them? -
it's not abt the ITE certificate u get is useless.

If I had a choice, I would hire someone from the ITE who had gone to poly and then to the uni.
