should i pay a deposit of 60 even though i can't go for the trip?.. about a school thingy oversea trip... i didnt know they pay the deposit for me already.. no notification or whatever...
i didn't know the $$ cannot be refunded. No terms and conditions stated.

Just tell them that you're not going and you've told them beforehand. I don't see why you should be paying the $60 for nothing? I think the lecturers already specified that deposits cannot be taken back if u decided not to go for the trip after u submitted ur form, unless it's the school which decided to cancel the trip. I think this is part of the administrative charges etc?
Well, u or ur fren can always talk to the lecturers.l Beg, cry or what.. maybe the lecturers might even want to fork out their own money to pay your fren.
I'm serious, one yr ago, my lecturers wanted the response so badly that they offered to pay for the students first if they have any financial difficulties (per lecturer paid $100). The students then paid the lectuerers back by instalments. -
You mean nobody told you there is a deadline to when you must confirm whether you going or not?
How much notice is there till the trip? -
Did you sign anything that purports to allowing the agent (in this case the school) to settle payment issues on your behalf or the form containing a clause giving a deadline to inform if you are not going?
If not, then you have no legal obligation to pay.
