One of my friends needs help on this issue:
He is 22 this year and he has a girlfriend who is 2 years younger than him. My friend is a poly graduate (in fact he is my classmate in the poly last time) and his girlfriend is only a O level holder.
It might sounds nothing special but my friend's parents dispprove of their relationship. They feels that his girlfriend's educational standard is too low and he should find a girlfriend of his educational standards but my friend likes his girlfriend very much and vice versa but he had to deal with his parents too.
He tried to convince his parents many times but failed. So he asked for our help and as I would like to help him, I can't as I didn't meet such incidents before. Thus I decided to post here to seek help.
Please help to tell your friend the followings:
It is always good to have someone who really loves you and I really envy you a lot as you have a wonderful girlfriend who didnÂ’t gave up even when your parents objected the relationship so muchÂ… It is sad that many couples had given up hopes and commitment at the slightly signs of hitches todayÂ…
Ask your girlfriend whether is she interested to go for any further studies or any upgrading courses in the near further and if she is interested then please tell your parents about it… Perhaps you can also tell your parents the main reason for her to stop schooling after “O” Level… Maybe it is due to her financial problems or family problems that disallowed her from carrying on any future…
Furthermore, it is always good to go for further studies as it will not only increase your current value to the company but also enriches your own self and personal well beingÂ…
In life there are a lot of ups and downs and especially in a relationshipÂ… issues can be much more sensitive that normal day to day issueÂ… DonÂ’t give up easily and prove to your parents that this is the relationship that is worth pursuing forÂ…
Never worry for the low educational level that oneÂ’s may have but one should worry for no intention to continue learning in lifeÂ… Continuous upgrading and acquiring new skills is valuable in lifeÂ…
