clarify my doubts
had a friend beside me to guide.
in the end.........
still get F9!

is it just a specific area that you are weak in??
or is it cos your basics not good?
have you tried asking your TEACHER for help? -

Define your meaning of revise.
For me, I focus chapt by chapt. I first focus a chapt which I am weak in and Practice and Practice and Practice till I get every question correct. I dont usually do more than two chapt per day. I'd invested quite a lot in assessment books. -
impt is to understand the broad concept and know how to apply

i next yr taking sec 3 taking e-maths.
this yr my results for end of yr maths : F9. haiz.
Revise : Doing alot of questions and asking my JC or poly friends for help if not sure how to do.
erm. i dun like my teacher thats y i dun talk to her. haha. -

i met alot ppl who say the same thing like u but when i go see how they study.... i really dun think they r studyin at all -

i tried askin my maths teacher to explain again when i dun understand and she said i'm stupid. since den i copied my homework all the way till exams.. my maths teacher asked my sec 3 class if anyone passed maths on the first day of sch... only 1 or 2 did...
the rest all failed...
at sec 4.. almost all passed e maths... some gettin As even
i got a B3...

tats what she did in sec 3... she went back to the basics with us, explainin why the algebra rules are like this etc bla bla bla
and assessment... i did the same as darkness... topic by topic... until every qn is correct before i skip to the next topic..
but i did 1 topic over a few days -

on a side note, i know that but i'm jsut too lazy and unmotivated to get my own foundations right, but since you are willing to spend 5 hours a day i think you can do it -

i only weak in maths and science. quite a coincidence. cos most ppl who are weak in maths often are also weak in science. -

sec 3 is starting in 2 mths time and i dun think im able to cope well. -
why bother trying to do your homework when you cant get the basics right???
forget about your homework and work on the basics first!!!
you have two months this holiday. im sure you can afford to spend two weeks working on the more basic stuff.
and besides, no one does ALL the holiday homework questions. the teacher is not going to mark them or look throught them ALL. pick and choose some to do.
if you get your basics right now, you might find math more easy next year. at least it'll be better than now...hopefully
