if you understand her, and she understands you, why not?
the common reason most gals go for older guys is that most guys mature slower then gals.... hence older guy more mature...
but there are exceptions -
One year doesn't make a difference.
If anything, if the guy's birthday is in January and the girl's birthday is in December, the difference shrinks to just ONE month.
Even if that's the case, I don't see what the problem is. I've seen a number of instances of younger men marrying older women and having happy marriages. Hugh Jackman, for instance, married a woman 8 years older and their marriage is still going strong. -

Would you feel differently had you not know your partner's age?

That age difference is not a problem, but if you had to ask the question and judging from your question I'm not sure if you're mature enough to handle it LOL

I find that when i was in my teens,i tend to like older ladies,can learn alot
but durning my mids 20s,i prefer young woman -
On its own, age difference is not a problem though difference in maturity may be more real.........
