What happens when moderators arent what they seem?

Do they take responsibility for their words on their forum.
Do they know the implications of their actions?
Or this is just another gang recruitment tactic where they pretend to help/befriend troubled people and then recruit them into their pack?
Give your views. I am interested in discussing powers, not assigned by virtue of capability but by ego stroking. -

And I still dont have closure. No one had replied me on how the judgement of a moderator fails and disgrace himself and the rest of others.
I would also like to find out why moderators are allowed to slander. -

moderators = people in power (power as in changing peoples posts or deleting topics)

So what are we supposed to treat this place as? As a tech forum moderator here, I have my misses too, which fortunately, didn't cause much trouble.
I don't know what issue causes this to be raised up again, as alexrain has started another thread, pointing at the same moderator. From the way things are going, I think there's some miscommunication and misinterpretation.
And the other thread that was locked, as an on-looker, I have to say that it does deserve to be locked. The first few pages replies were serious, but as the number gets higher, the replies aren't. To an extent, I could feel sarcasm and even hostility. Only some questions asked were answered. -

While this place isn't serious all the time, for serious issues, we expect sensible answers. Suicide is an option, but do you know that it's escaping as well? I'm curious as to what you have gained from Buddhism. -

This kind of topic is open. Life is precious, yet at the same time, if it threatens others, I can easily say I sacrifice one for the other.
As living things, we need some form of diet. But in order to feed living things, some things have to go. Based on what reason do we judge that their lives aren't precious?
The same argument goes for death sentence. Because the murderer kills someone, does the laws have a right to take away another living thing's life?
So where should the line be drawn? What determines precious? -
