My flight to NY was cancelled due to the snowstorm. They couldn't find anything for me for today and tomorrow which means i will miss my international flight back home.
What should i do now? Thanks
erm...ur not in the states now ar??Originally posted by Nessie:No way i can get to NY on time.
Contacted BA...the carrier which is my international flight carrier and i was told my tickets are non-changeable which means if i miss it, i need to get a new one.
So unlucky of me. But what to do!
I am in california now. Trying in vain to solve the situations.Originally posted by udontknowme:erm...ur not in the states now ar??
i guess u have to get another ticket...
what is ur carrier for the international flight in NY? If its SQ, try to call them and change the flight to some other day. Meanwhile also change ur internal flight to some other day to suit ur international flight. Unless u die die want to go back on that day.Originally posted by Nessie:I am in california now. Why am I not surprised...?Originally posted by Nessie:Hello,
Gosh, everything was like just in time. Went to the airpot to bug at them and finally they gave me a standby at Las Vegas from San Diego. Got to rush back to get my all baggage and be back in the airport within an hour.
Standby flight in Las Vegas was delayed too and i got very worried. But everything was worth the time as i've finally got into the plane back to New York...was very stressful.
Yup, i have got travel insurance. But as everyone know, when it comes to claiming...you know right!
My international flight carrier was British Airway, they were not helpful at all. Never even try to give me any advice, just told me "If you miss your flight, it is not their responsibility, it is mine as their plane is there but i am not!" Don't think i will ever want to travel with them ever again.
actually they r rite in the sense that if ur flight has gone, what can they do?? Its not their fault actually and this was the reply from sia but they put it in a very nice way. What can only be done at that point of time is to see whether they can change the timing to suit. If found out early at least can change instead of get stuck in airport. If not really suck thumb...cos I dun think they will pay u for the lodging if the local airlines delayed ur international flight.Originally posted by Devil1976:Why am I not surprised...?
The impression they gave me was that they CAN be friendly if they want to... But when problems come then.....
In fact, lots of companies are like this nowadays... Whatever happened to customer service...?![]()
Did you purchased a travel insurance before it?Originally posted by Nessie:No way i can get to NY on time.

I'm not really stating in that sense but RATHER... The attitude given... To be fair, there're friendly ones too.. But I should say I've seen more 'stuck up' ones than otherwise... and when they're 'stuck-up', they really can be... What I'm really saying is that this is business and their JOB okie... Hence I said "Whatever happened to customer service..."....?Originally posted by SpeedStar:actually they r rite in the sense that if ur flight has gone, what can they do??
