move in to gf HDB flat or buy my own flats?

  my gf name is used to share name with her mother for her mother HDB flat.
  that meant next time when me and my gf get married..
  we cannot get another HDB flat.. cause her name have been used up.
  
  so what can i do??
  i dun fancy of moving into her mother flats after marriage..
  i dun like loi.

  Your gf can buy her name out from the flat she shared with her mum, if I'm not wrong. Or it's the vice versa, her mum buys her daughter's share. I think.

  if i am not wrong, each person is given 2 chances to get new flat. so u and ur gf still can buy new hdb flats. unless its resale that you are thinking of, then its not a problem at all. alternatively, you can check hdb website for more information.

  I dont think her chances of applying a new HDB flat are used up...but her mother might have to get someone else(especially if ur gf has other siblings) to add name into the flat to form the required family nucleus for HDB...
  
  things might be a bit more tricky if ur gf is only child...then have to put in more effort.
  
  email HDB and confirm ur options.

  Alternatively, ask your gf to sell her flat with her mum, and then you buy a new flat with your gf then your gf mum move in with you two.

  I am sure it wouldnt be the first time HDB is facing this kind of situation...email them and ask about it...maybe they can have some kind of case-to-case concession for this kind of thing....alternatively...can go see MP to appeal the case.

  U got nothing to loose, stay with her mother, bear with it, sooner or later the house is going to be yours, start saving now, later when Mother in law die liao, you can take over, sell the house and buy a private house.

  The wife should still be able to register a new flat with the new hubby.
  
  The mother should be old enough to be able to hold her flat by herself.
  
  The only problem is money.
  
  Chances are, the daughter and mother has a running loan from HDB and still paying off the flat.
  
  If there is a possibility that the mother can service the loan herself as well as taking ownership for the flat.
  
  There shouldnt be any problem with releasing the daughter for getting a hdb home with her husband.
