I am been having this feeling since last semester when things started getting very stressful. At one point it got so stressful that i started getting asthma attacks and even started to become kind of like a zombie and now even though its whole new semester, i just can't seem to allow myself to study anymore.
Its only been two weeks since school begain and yet i have not been to school on time a single day. I also don't bother to take notes during lecture like everyone eles or even do my tutorial.
I am not a lasy student in fact i feel very guilty when i turn up late for classes everyday and see my teacher's face but i just can't seem to act otherwise
Some people just tell me to hold on since i have already progress so much and a accounting diploma is a good think to have but i can't seem to do it and feel like i am going to withdraw from my course anytime. I feel like at this age of my life i should be having the time of my life in school and not be in this state
What should i do? Help...
Let me give you an advice. It is better that you perserve and continue with what you have for your own good and future.
Maybe you cannot see the benefits in the near future but let me tell you. If you have obtained a diploma in accounting, you can choose 2 options:
1.) Do a UK or Australia degree in accountancy and work towards your professional qualification or
2.) Take up ACCA and start at level 2 and complete your ACCA.
If you are local, better listen to this.....there are thousands of foreigners and locals (China national, Malaysian and those who are switching from non accounting line to accounting) taking ACCA from either FTC, FTMSglobal or Singapore Accountancy Academy (SAA).
You should take a walk down to their campus or go the the Singapore Expo during their Dec exams to see them there and they will be the ones who will compete jobs with you in the future. So if you are to drop your studies now, then I think it is not worth it.
I have made the mistake not taking accountancy at NTU when my A level grades can offer me a place but chose engineering instead.....presently I have to pay the price of taking an accountancy qualification on a part time basis.
So please handle the stress and complete the diploma....cos you will not want to regret in your later years that because of not handling some stress, u dropped out of ploy.
If you need to talk to someone, maybe the poly counsellor will help. I know some accounting/law subjects may be dry but thats study and you are a full time student.....shouldnt that be your purpose?
How about those who have to work and study part time?
