Character: Lazy, unmotivated, easily give up, easily irritated and low self-esteem.

Career - I dont know what I'm really interested in.
Education - What should I study?
Private O, private diploma (business mdis) or LCCI secretarial
Life - Never been in a relationship.True friends only - 2.
Wealth - Ard $2k (Had to help out parent's debts. 5years. Just finished this month THANK YOU GOD!!!)
What do you think I should do?
1 - work full time admin and study part time (when I save enough for the course fee. If study, which course which I study?)
2 - work full time admin and take up adam khoo's self-improvement course since my Character ....(read above) then decide from there?

You need to fix this first

For every one of these undesirable trait, there is a reason behind it.
You are lazy because you are unmotivated.
You give up easily because you don't see what's so worthy at the end of all the hard work.
You feel easily irritated because you are lost and needed some guidance.
You have low self-esteem because you focused on your weakness instead of your strengths.
If you cannot fix those fundamental problems, nothing in your life will be worth doing.
Employers don't like lazy employees, you will realize you cannot keep a job, you will be constantly job hopping, by age 30, your resume will be an embarrassment.
Studying takes lots of determination and effort and hard work.
If you are lazy and gives up easily, you will not be able to complete anything.
ESPECIALLY part-time studies plus FULL time working, requires plenty of self-discipline.
Relationship requires plenty of patience and giving and your low self esteem is just gonna make you a very unbearable person to be with.
How can any relationship survive ?
Girl, at least you realized your bad points, now what you need to do is work on it.
If you don't start improving yourself now, in 10 or 20 years time , you'd still have nothing.
NO Career, education, life n wealth. Period.
Nevertheless, you are a very giving person to help out your parent's debt.
Now with the same kind of perseverance, you can start saving for your studies or retirement funds.
Private studies are not cheap. And you will need to save for rainy days.
Full time studies is a luxury you cannot afford.
Right now, you have no job, means no contribution to CPF , medisave, and no safety net to fall back on.
All you have now is your 2k and more expenses.
With your N level, you should consider taking up some part-time certification, with it you can further yourself into diploma. Just make sure the cert you take allows you to go into a diploma or other higher level education.
What course you take.
First you need to figure out what your strong points are.
Are you good with numbers ?
Are you good with people ?
Are you a leadership material ?
Are you good in teaching others ?
Are you good in analysis ?
etc.
Then you look at what the courses has to offer and consider if you can survive the subjects.
Next thing you need to do... don't look back. -

Plan your financial statue if you are planning to further your studies.
I think if im you, i will work and save money to upgrade my value.
Maybe can get some financial assistance from others ? -

To achieve this purpose, education plays a important part which i am glad that u realised. However, its ur mentality that can pull u down. Sweetness comes after bitterness. Work with a "i want to be the best" mentality and not "i am a lazy person"mentality.

Obviously work's going to be part of the game plan, but as for the rest, you're better off working out what you want to do before starting to do anything (don't take forever to work it out, though).
Things are never going to be clear when all you've got in hand is a blank sheet like you have now. Start clarifying things with a few basic questions like:
1) What are you interested in doing?
2) From your experience, what have you found yourself to be good at doing?
3) What kinds of jobs interest you?
It's never easy just plugging on when you don't know what you're working towards, but at the same time hands-on experience will provide you with some knowledge to guide your decisions. Don't expect to have THE answer at any given time because your direction's most likely going to change with your circumstances. Put some thought into what you want to do (balanced against what you know you can do), and refine your ideas as you go along.
As for option 2, the only person who's going to get any benefit out of going to see Adam Khoo is Adam Khoo. -

2nd - take private O's and work part time.
3rd - after u finish ur O level then see wat u really wanna do.

Yes, you will need to save a small sum of money first.
How many months of savings depends on how frugal you are, and how much the classes cost.
My advise to you is to stay away from debts.
You don't need to borrow from family members.
I never liked that idea, because if you do, not only do you owe them money, you'd also owe them a favor your whole life.
I doubt you can get a low interest loan with the minimum income you are earning. Banks in Singapore are not risk takers.
And it is never a good idea to pay those high flying bankers with your hard earned money. But if you must, you can try.
It is possible to finance your own studies. That way, you only owe it to yourself if you fail or succeed.
As you aquire your papers, your market value will start going up.
The only limitations is time itself.
Please do more research on the courses you are considering.
What are the paths it will lead you to.
How far up are you willing to go ?
Do you have the brochures for the business cert ? Are you able to enroll in one with N level ? Some of those requires a minimum amount of working experiences.
LCCI secretarials cert, how far does it allows you to further your studies.
After you get this cert, what is the next level ?
Will you be able to enroll into higher learnings with this ?
Are you an organized person ?
I think you can avoid private O and head straight into a skill/knowledge based certification with diploma/degree down the road. But please confirm this on your end.
Else, you should also consider picking up a vocational skill.
A skill that will generate income for the rest of your life.
At your age, the options are plenty. Consolidate ALL your options first before you take the plunge, because it is very painful to have to give up half way to start something new again.

The best thing about having nothing now, is that you have nothing to lose. -

Now that you have got yourself a job, as advised by the other forumners, please do some research on the various options before you start plunging into it.
If you simply have no idea, then, do not start on any course first. Think properly and plan properly. Or else, at the end of the day, it will be a waste of time and money!

Hi Broke_Sista84, i know how you are feeling
Can i give you a suggestion Why don't you become a nurse like my elder sister both of you are the same age
. My sister sign up for a bond with NUH two years ago before going into ITE to do her nursing course. NUH paid all her school fees and everything and gave her a monthly salary of $600 also (which will increase over time) i know its nothing compared to the 1.5K admin job but now that she's a full time nurse she earns quite the same. She is going to poly this year to become a staff nurse and NUH is still going to sponsor her. After that she plannig to do her degree in nursing.
You also don't study all time in the nursing course every six months you go out to work and once your studies are over the hospital that gave you the bond will take you under their wings
I know not everyone can become a nurse but is there a more fulling job then that. Everytime you see a person recover under your care especially really old people you just feel a kind of very happy feeling. Everytime my sis comes home from work she tells us stories of the different patients she worked with that day and its quite fasinating to hear. And furthermore i see you got a real kind heart -
if you have the desire and will to change, of which, this is the beginning - you will ask yourself hard questions and realise that its the inside of you that cause the outside things around you... if you do not have the desire and will to change, attend more school or work more years will not matter

hey sista, dun u worry, nobody in this world is actually lazy...juz not finding their purpose in life yet...so juz sit it out and explore your values and worth ok?
first u must hv a dream and live on it as this is the only thing that will sustain us in this complicated yet simple-enough-world. find something you love to do, perhaps something creative and perhaps one that will make some money too (not all important though) that will absorb you with such passion that time and space does not exist for u anymore. when this happen u will reach a zone of fulfilment and contentment that this feeling of worthlessness will dissolve and become an illusion that had trapped u.
it is all illusion but choose to be trapped in a better illusion
