What love means to you?

People always say, "Love has no reasons", "Love is blind", "Love is making the other party happy", yadda yadda.
We've all heard the idealists' version of love. And if you would read through AA, you would find many models and many interpretations of love.
Possessive and jealous on one extreme, generous with giving and not asking for return on the other extreme.
But what is love to you? Your own views on love, your own model of love.
And at that, I want to pose an additional question:
Does loving someone means you need to be in a relationship with that person?
This is merely a thread for people to post and perhaps discuss. If you question the value and purpose of this thread or you are going to post some nonsensical crap, please don't bother posting in here. Flame me in PM if you want, but please keep this clean.

Alright i don't have much past as I am still quite young.
Anyway, in the past, i always feel that there is true love and one will met a true love one day... Someone out there is waiting for someone...
And true love means unconditional love to me... Sacrificing for the other party, only love the other one and only one... No other people...
Well maybe that time I am still naive and those ideas of love comes from the media...
Well for the me today...

I still don't really know what love is...
And the definition of love i once have dun really seems to be able to find here in the world i am currently living...
So my definition of love has change and well...
i still dun have a fix definition...
for i still dun understand...

There would be someone out there who feels the same as you or I. But is our eyes open to see that someone? I think that's the real question. -
Love is an emotion. Just like happy. Its happy +sad+bad +good+etc. Personally its a mixture of feelings, good and bad. Thats love. It can make you smile or hurt you like a biatch.

To me,
Love is long-term while r/s is short-term.
Love is a commitment while r/s is a enjoyment.
Love is about looking after the well being of ur other half at the expense of ur sacrifices. That is no matter how busy u are in work, if ur other half is in need to serious help, u are to put those work down and rush to her side.
Love is a give and take thing. People grumbles when they give more than they receive but does it really matters? To me, it doesn't as i am doing it for the sake of love and not for the sake of getting repaid.

I have moved out from my previous confession now and try to accept another girl whom i am serious this time. I really wish u can also get ur other half bro, thirty is still ok really, hope u dun give up hope, just like u have injected hope in me the last time.

After reading so many fellow sgforumers' definition of love, perhaps it's time to say mine.
I believe love is a decision which follows attraction.
The initial attraction can only go on with the decision to love the person. Not many share this view, I suppose.
To love someone whom you deem deserving of your love, to care for someone whom you deem deserving of your care. A self-centric model perhaps, but one that self-preserves as well.
