What will you do if you feel unwelcome?

Scenario 1: Let's say in work u don't have frens ..u feel the office is so 'cold' but you stay on because of HIGH pay (20% more that what you get outside) ..bcos u got house, non working parents, car to support. What will you do? Will you do stay on such miserable work life ?
Scenario 2 : Let's say you are living with your in law not by your wish, you got no choice bcos they have no house (they nvr save for rainy days , only live day by day, happy go lucky) and you feel so 'cold' in the house with them.
For first choice, still can hop lower pay job..but for this case What will you do ? divorce? Don't ask me to move bcos we got not $$ already. -
hmm..for work, i'd continue working but i'd oso be on the lookout for new job options...Try making friends with my workmates..if that is unsuccessful, i will jus persevere lor. no biggie ma.
for home..play games with them so u'd be familiar with them..
but, i think ultimately, YOU are the one that needs to change since u cant get along w e ppl around u. -

Ai yo... It doesn't hurt if you live with your in laws. Try to know them better lor... Else what? Send them to old folks home but you still need to pay for it?

2) Interact lor.... Or for some others, they may just slog their day longer, earn more, come back home dead tired and fall asleep immediately. -
i think all these problem came to one conclusion => MONEY !!
Scenario 1 : Stay for the sake of MONEY !!
Ya, difficult to find job outside now..
Scenario 2 : Work Harder for the sake of MONEY / FREEDOM !!
Cannot sent to folks to home lah, one mth is ard $1400++ for one bed in old folks home !! -

Keep your work life and your private social life separate and distinct.
When u go to work, switch your mind to the professional mode - just do the work and split from office. Once you step out of the office switch back your mind to the personal/private mode again. Takes a lil' bit of practice to do this but it can be done!

for scenario 1.. maybe you r getting a high pay right now.. but without the personal relationship within your office.. its very hard for you to promote to a more seniority position.. tt means.. your pay will be stucked at that amt lor..
but if you find other jobs.. maybe your PR is better.. then, the chance of getting promoted is oso higher.. and means pay will oso increase.. but the qn is do you have the patience to wait? or do you have the time to wait?
for scenario 2... since you say you have no choice but to live with your in-laws.. why not try to get along with them.. since.. after all you have no choice.. its better for a family to stay close.. rather than.. every day knock off from the work.. den come back still muz face all the "black" faces.. right?
