Hi folks,
After receiving so many wonderful helps from sgforumers.. i decided to post a new problems here again...
Here it goes, my boyfriend always likes to listen to his mum.. and i realised that those born in 1983 which is Pig in Chinese zodiac.. tends to be homely creature.. hey i don't mind but.. too timid sometimes.. mummy boy or girl.. I really don't know what to do.. any people born in 1983 here? (tell me how u behave pls)
Told my bf to helped me out with my repairing of my house TV. and he took a long time before he reached my house.. cos he told me..my mum asked me to eat lunch before going out.. the appt time is 4.30 pm.. and he reached around 7 plus.. damn sian.. wanted to go out leh.. and this is what he did to me..
I have gotten quite sick of this... everything revolve around the bloody mum.. don't get it wrong.. i don't hate MUMS but for a mature 24 year old.. everthing mummy.. mummy here and there (SOrry.. seriously i just needed to fcuk my ranting here)
Folks, i needed some opinion.. a good one.. pls don't dump crap here.. thx!
(P.S: killing his mum might be a good idea too)

i respect my mother a lot and it is just your luck that you have a mummy boy, too bad for you, just because a guy listen to his mum all the time, doesn't make him a mummy boy, if that guy always depends on his mother all the time, such as do the laundry, makes his bed, cook his dinner, that is a mummy boy
most typical male in singapore, are all mummy boy so good luck in finding a boyfriend who is not a mummy boy then.
you should find someone who can take care of you, instead of spoon feed him. -

have you considered that he is stuck between u and his mum? and i agree with allen that listening to your mum doesnt make you a mummy's boy. and whats gonna happen if his mum becomes your in laws if you both get married.

Sometimes, this kind of thing cannot help it one. For me, i really care for my parents - i joke with them, go breakfast with them every morning without fail. I am also a mummy boy and i know girl hates this kind of guy for being too obedient. However, TS what i want to tell u is the time u can share with ur parents together is very short.
If ur bf sort of married u at age of 30, how long u think ur bf can be with his parents? at most 15 years, y? because only when one reach maturity then one MAY realise how important their parents are. For me, i realise it quite late or rather i am really stunned when i really it. Therefore, i am happy to be a mummy boy at the moment so that i can treasure them while time last till we parted.
Therefore, sometimes please spare a thought for ur bf. -

i am born in 1983 too. yeah i am the homely type. no bf yet. if i meet my friends, usually at the most i will be 15min late. dunno why your bf drags til so long to reach your house.
if you intend to go out after he comes, then maybe you should tell him earlier. otherwise if i were him, i assume i just go to your house repair tv only. -
there's a huge difference being filial and a mummy's boy.....since your bf is the former, good luck when you marry.....and a wise parent would be one who knows when to release the leash and find acceptance that the kid has grown up and has a life of his / her own....

just sharing my 2 cents. who are u compare to his mom? why he must listen to u more than his mom? he deserves better gf if u still like that.

i think your bf doesnt love you enough. That's why he is taking his own sweet time to come over. But even if he comes over on time, you will still take him for granted and break with him next time.
So the bad thing for guys is:
come on time - she will take you for granted. breakup soon.
come late - she will not be happy. also breakup soon. -
haha. a lot of us are pampered by our parents. myself included. but listening to them is another issue. be glad you have a filial bf, as opposed to someone who might be rebellious.

i am in my late teens and is it really that bad that girls or even friends, dont like to have a bf or friend that is controlled by their mother, or parents in general?
i am closer to my mother more than my dad, and only recently, did i go out more often w/o my parents, as i usually go out with my family for a meal or an outing.
as for TS, u never know if u like yr in laws, u could be her fav daughter-in-law, since she has a fav son married to u. -
Your BF is not having a problem because he is a mummy's boy. His problem is that he cannot keep his appointments, and he is not punctual, and he expects you to wait for him without giving you a call. I took punctuality very serious, or +/- 10mins. He's very late you know, 2 hours and 30mins later!
Actually if he wants to have lunch with his mother, why not you go together? If you're serious in this r/s, perhaps you should treat your future in laws as real mum/dad/sis/bro.
I don't see any wrong having lunch with the Significant Other's family members.
