ok, this sure is annoying but you could have asked them nicely to move. Did you? -
they are relatives, cousin + uncle/auntie..told them to shift, but the pretend nvr hear..then we get the host..and they shift reluctantly bcos i show black face. i tell them "ya, i m fine to be separated with my hb"
and i walk off..only came back when the wedding starts..but sit sideway and back face them..idoits ! -

Aiyo, lots of politics among the relatives lah. If you can don't mix around with political relatives. YOur relative really inconsiderate, think they did it intentionally.

not close relatives, only see them when there is funerals, weddings etc . . wonder when is the next time i will see them..do u folks think i m too much ?

As for me, I come across political relatives though I hardly see them. To me, whenever I can, I shun away from them. It is futile to mix around with bit.chy people -

the fault lies with the host for the seating arrangement...no one likes to be separated.....you were not wrong at being upset but your reaction was over the top i guess, you are now seen as immature and spoilt....it was embarrassing to your loved ones to witness your outburst....in life, you don't always need to 'win' such needless battles....
if you have a child, imagine him or her making a ruckus in public....what will your reaction be, regardless of what caused it... -

Hubby & his bro-in-law last time quarrel over his sis *now divorced* & during his son wedding they arranged them to sit together
Hubby threatened to leave the wedding if they never arrange him to seat in a different table *make me feel so embarrassing* -

juz shifting a seat only and they still nid to host to come invite them shift... wth.. thou im not very close with my relatives too, but at least they are still nice ppl... some la.. haa.. but then, i dun blame u... hope they learnt this lesson... -
we are on talking terms with host mah, so we went..but how were we know that the rest of the ppl are like tat..make us look like a clown..u know..i had to sit sideways, back facing the bit-chy family.
i so sad, all thinks is my fault, i dun wanna go home..lonely xmas for me...

If anything the other family should feel embarressed
Especially if they are your elders
If they don't know how to act like an elder than they really deserve no respect. -

On the matter, if the host managed to resolve the problem, I think the threadstarter could have let the matter rest. Should not have sulked on what had happened. After all, you were there to celebrate someone's wedding.
