    • I'm studying at Ngee Ann Polytechnic currently. A 1st year student in Electronic & Computer Engineering to be precise. Well things get harder and harder when you proceed on with life, it really is. Now , the real matter here is...Girls. Yup, It's them. I'm not saying that they are a problem/anything, But just that some Girls I see at Ngee Ann are really beautiful and it makes me like "OMFG, that's some beauty...".

Since your a 1st year student, your like a pretty much NooB there. So i was wondering, is it really hard to find a Gf at Polytechnics? It's quite hard to say though, nothing beats Secondary School Life = 5 Years. So I need some advices on how to approach Girls. So I need all the advices I can get, especially if they are from a Girl herself! :P

      Thanks for helping me out!

    • Erm... you mean you normal stream in secondary school with no luck in girls and expect us to tell you in 3 years you can get a girl?

Try the longest road... Do a 6 years diploma and maybe you got chance...icon_rolleyes.gif

    • Honestly,I think you should be concentrating on studies while in Poly,a GF there would be a bonus.

But to answer you question, you got to ask yourself what you have to offer them? Are you the tall dark handsome basketball player kind? The smart kind? The rich kid?The charming sweet talker?

Those questions might affect how you approach the girl.I have seen rich guys drive to school on a daily basis and giving the popular girls in school a lift back. The tall basketball players will have their own mini fan club, the smart ones will be clamoured for when time for exams, charming sweet talker will basically talk their way into the target's hearts.

But knowning life as it is,nothing is certain.

    • Think of how to befriend girl friends first before thinking of getting a girlfriend.

If you approach every girl like some prey, you'd never get to know them well.

And if they don't get to know you well, what chance would there be of them being interested in you?

    • 1st year only.. haiyoo.. still got few years to go la..

U just concentrate on ur studies. U will make girl friends easy. study hard. party harder. i gurantee you. i bet my balls. you will get to know more girls as the years go by. Dun worry. we were all noobs once when in uni.. or polytech for ur case. embarassed.png Damn i love 1st years. U have an excuse to not know where u are and what u need to do. =P if u know what i mean. heh heh.

Just dont be a loser.. u know.. how should i say , like a loner or low self esteem that kinda thing.

oh n one thing , join the clubs , and show them u are good at what u do. Girls dun likes a nobody.

Things gets harder when u proceed with life.. but its you who make it how u proceed in life. If its hard but worthwhile.. then thumbs_up.png Good luck boy.

like wat already said study most impt... but study hard dun mean u cannot xian zarbo... 1st reason u no gf is probably u fail on the appearance... so go make urself presentable... 2nd reason, u fail PR skills... so learn a thing or 2 from ur chee hong frens... after u brush urself up on those 2 then ask urself u got $$$ anot? dun hv go work parttime... then all depends on ur fate after tat..

i was in yr position many years ago, the late 90s had even more prettier girls. But just a word of caution, a crush which starts during the late teen years if unrequitted will stay on with u for life.

U will never be able to forget the girl who rejected u or cant be with u for life.

but this time is not hard, this supposed to be enjoyable. This  phase of yr life is crucial cos many things happen that is different from yr sec school life. This is were the reality of life starts before u go into  the 2nd phase - NS.

enjoy yr poly life while it lasts cause this will be the last phase of yr carefree life before u will get haunted by the dark memories of ns and unrequitted love  and life will be different after NS.

i took up uni studies after NS and found out that it is not the same enjoyable life i had in poly  .The(raging hormones)  of the late teens will help u pull through many things but then on its life which bites back.

Try not to pin your hopes onto one girl. Cause thats the start of yr problems.

I am still not able to forget a girl i knew in poly when i graduated in 2000

    • tell me the girls are from BA... ... at least way more girls then in ECE lar.

i just finish lecture ... then i see this.

moi tutorial group like 7 guys and 11girls, worse 3 of them(all girls) same orientation group as me- $10. now projects also stuck with them- $100. bringing them to LTs and stadium for Magnum -$1000. makan also with them, ask me to even help them- $10000.

one of them is unattached and pretty and when they intro more above average girls to me(that includes ask them for number and msn address) - Priceless.
