In many sector not just coffee shop auntie... have been replaced by FTs, IT sector , property sector , manufacturing ,finace and accounting you name it and they are there , they have also penetrated the PMETS level,
The thing is when recession come , Sg will be short of jobs , will this FTs be told to go , so they can free the space for us .. no way right?
so take care of yourself and your country man , dun give chance to this pple they are here to rob you of your job and living, you may be a offering a job to a lowly FTs techncian waitress , and they will propagate you and soon , your kids will be competing with them for jobs, so think twice before hiring a FTs, give a chance to your country man first even they ask for higher pay
PS: my previous job are all occupied by FTs

To sad, there r thing in life we can't do anything to it.
Someone say by hardwork can get u there, but 10-20 yrs back we never noe FT will destory our dream today.
Many r thinking by 10yrs time can afford a condo and 20yrs time a landed.
Well, maybe those who r stuck and now become a taxi driver will tell u life is just unpredictable.
It is also sad that govt want more babies, but in real life if u start to have a child it will make u less mobile and inflexible in taking low paid job.
Recent price hike, fuel price hike and property price up and down r just common news nowadays.
So this FT thing already there for many years liao, it just that it never hit u until yr job kana taken by them.

Some jobs can never be replaced by FT. These include sensitive civil service units, security-related industries etc.
Being in a foreign land, FT understands they need to work doubly hard to prove their worth. Hence, they're often seen as being more efficient, e.g. willing to work long hours for the same pay.
With hardly any social life, they aren't so distracted and thus remain focused in their primary goal here (to earn).
Private sector-wise, I believe those towkays won't be so patriotic to offer the jobs to locals only. Instead, during a recession, they may even find more FT in order to preserve their bottom-line. Hope they prove me wrong though.
