There are moments in my life where i get furious and i won't go into details (it's better this way) but i hate the feeling of having being filled with anger and being unable to control my actions and thoughts clearly. Are there any practical ways to calm myself down? Any ways to overcome the anger so that i can continue with my work? Do tell whatever ideas you have in your mind. It's for my project and myself too
U gotta find a way out to vent your angers out .. Some love going to the seaside while some would like to find a few peeps to talk to.
sit down, cross your legs and meditate for 2 hours.
Seek for professional help.
It's obvious ur anger management is poor. Either u seek professional help or u hav to trial & test ways for urself. At least u know now wat is ur prob.
Face the issue not the person...if the issue is the person...think of what you can do the help/avoid that person....adopt the "no lousy subordinate, but only lousy leader" mantra. But also dun be too high nose and haunty.
When there is anger, usually, you are at fault too. There is no best way...only a better way. What's yours?

Mine?? Oh, usually i dun get angry, but if i do, i go around joo chiat one round and disturb uncles.
Walk away from the source of your anger.

The problem lies here. You are not controlling your thoughts. But you can't stop thinking anyway. But you can control your mind.
Thoughts are internal dialogue. Your mind is speaking, saying something, telling You something, that is thought. Most are instructive, telling You what to do, and some instigating, like the kind you are complaining about.
You can try this experiment. Try labeling your thoughts. Identify the traits of a particular thought and label it according to its characteristics. Say like angry thoughts, label it Grumpy. Happy thoughts label it Happy, or Felicity or such. When thoughts are anoymous they run wild unbriddled, when identified they become silent. You want to keep the bad tempered thoughts quiet, not the happy or neutral ones. Lable them, then watch out for them. You will find they do not appear when you watch out for them. But it will start yakking when You are unaware. This is normal, experienced Buddhist monks always have thoughts interrupting their meditation, they just dismiss it and continue meditation. Identify the bad thought and stop it. This way you can stop unwanted thoughts, but allow any other thoughts free reign of your mind.
See if this works.

take in deep breathes to calm your nerves down. stay away from the whatever that trigger your anger/ fustration. Dont think about it until you are ready.

being angry is perfectly normal..as with all things. a change of mindset will change everything. you decided to be angry is because you have a set of information at that time. however at a later time with the same scenario, with a slighlty different set of info, u might not be as angry,but you might be even angrier. always change your mindset to avoid being ungry or sad or jus being down.

TS, clap clap for you. YOu are bold and humble to admit it. No worry, all you need to do is cool yourself down and think things through, be clear about what happen that trigger anger and frustration in you.
Analyse situation, people and yourself. Know what is going on, who is doing what, what are their motives, their behaviour, their words, how they treat you. Be honest to yourself on how you feel and how you handle.
When all is clear, do the necessary and move on.
