why not??? i know fren that score full mark b4 lor..... F9 all the way.....
Retaking O's seems a better choice...
The most realistic solution will be to advice him to retake his O Level.
To take a private diploma, you must first consider which diploma is he taking, the instituion and the money needed.
If he comes from a rich family, taking a private diploma is not a difficult choice.
But if he DONT, best would be to retake his O level. With a O level cert, more easier to find a job, isnt it?
I'm not helping [conventionally] by saying this but....
If he can fail so many subjects, retaking is wasting time and money if it's just retaking for the sake of retaking and hoping that he'll pass!!!
If he's retaking, he needs a babysitter to sit with him cos apparently he has short attention span, easily distracted, dun do well in a social setting, ego and definitely slower then his peers. And I bet his peers are not doing any better.
It's sad that in Singapore, if you are poor in English, your other subjects will be affected e.g. science, math, geo, etc....who the hell understands what the teachers are blabbering about!!!
My recommendation:
1. If he's grades are around 50/50, go for retake;
2. If he's failing by more than 10%, go NS, beg to sign on and see if he's willing to re-take his O's.
3. Look for Angel90210, think her recruitment drive is still onĀ (:p)
Let's hope he's slow but not stoopid. After NS, hope that he's more mature and focused. Sometimes, NS does change a person. Good luck.
