  latest virus :msblast.exe/W32 Lovsan.worm
  
  off ur internet connection and install ur firewall now or u will reboot n reboot n reboot....rerererere......
  
  (this aint a low risk virus)

  this silly worm seems extremely contagious.
  
  eZ removal:
  1.disable system restore
  2.search for msblast
  3.delete the file of course
  4.edit of registry(optional since the file is no longer there)
  5.restore back ur system restore
  6.dl patch of course
  7.setup ur firewall if u got one else u will get the worm again

  Now I was trying to instally my MP3 player's downloading program and restart the com, now the bloody thing kept giving me blue screen of death.

  my laptop alreay RIP liao....shut down and cant restart...simply dead like that.....any one out there any advices? install watever patch also no use for me since i cant even start the pc..............

  urs is not the virus woot.just reinstall loh...if cant even reinstall then surely need some servicing liao

  i dled the fixblast stuff and it sort of deleted the worm.
  
  but the system is still shutting down.
  
  and i found a file msblast(alot of alphabets).exe.pf file
  
  what the heck is a pf file.
  
  my office using win xp. which patch to dl at microsoft.com?

  First of all, how come your laptop cannot start? Have you called up ur laptop service centre to check with them?
  
  It could due to one of your laptop hardware problem which is faulty. My advise is to call up the service centre to check with them and if necessary, bring down to the service centre for them to check. Do not open the laptop as it's sensitive and it's different from a desktop pc.

  u need to close ur port to stop this worm.
  maybe download the worm n try it out?
  see how ur firewall helps.
  
  u noe how antivirus work?btw i dun like mcafee.
  mcafee can do anything wif this worm when i 1st posted.
  ya rite,i dun use anti-virus cuz nobody spread old virus.
  it's only the new virus tat we need to be aware of and anti-virus cant really help.ur system would proly have crash b4 u get to update ur 'norton anti-virus of macfee'
  
  when i 1st gotten this virus,MacAfee wasnt even aware.the only webby tat got some update is f-secure.
  
  my firewall smoke out this worm n put it to sleep and i kill it manually.

  Hi Bliss,
  
  Are u using WinXP? If so, then you are being infected with the current worm. You can go to microsoft update website to download two patches to patch up the loophole.
  
  This is the solution given by Microsoft and it worked.
  
  A piece of advise for you. If you have Norton Antivirus, update your virus definition files regularly and update your firewall too to prevent from further attack!
