do u ever feel that life is so... meaningless?
tt there is nothing in life to look fwd to?
everydae wake up, work, sleep.
during work wait for lunchbreak
during wkdaes wait for wkends.
past one dae after another jus like tt - going thru motion
theres like no more excitement in life.
u feel like u haf lost all the energy, all the motivation, all the reasons to feel excited...
u seem to be living only cos u haf no choice.. like the hands of a clock going round and round, like the earth orbiting the sun...

Wow piang, wait till u r in my position now.
I'm now jobless, for 2 weeks liao, and still can't find a job........... been to quite a few interviews but all no news.............. and mind you, all my interviews are not short, the shortest is 45 min and longest is 2 hrs........... still can't get the job.
Everyday wake up at noon time, look through the net............... newspaper looking for job........Send resume liao wait for handphone to ring only........ see if anyone ask me for interview or not. One day pass one day, weekend come also no money go out......... this then sianz man.
Felt very useless............... worst still, my insurance, handphone bill and car installment coming up!!!! Dunnoe need to rob a bank or not, to pay all these, heh......
This is what I call sianz................... Sigh~ I'm gonna be an expert interviews soon....... SIANZ AH!!!!!!!

well..i guess we all haf our own reasons to be sianz. those who canot find job worry abt bills and income. those who haf jobs worry abt losing it and getting somewhere wif it. i guess i am luckier than many others in many ways, but still i m feeling sian in my own right, of my own situation. this is abt the lowest pt i haf gotten since i started work...wif the confluence of work, family and own sian-ness... its realli a perfect storm 4 me..

this is what we called LIFE..... i believe that everyone had their own "sianz" period...... if u feel sian for ur life nw, move on to nxt stage... eg: getting married...it's another adventure in ur life......

Yah, i understand fully your point. I'm just taking the chance to complain abt my own sianz only. That time I got job I also suffer till cannot suffer that's why end up quitting. Now no job also jia lat.................... later got an interview, sigh~ hope everything goes smoothly. -
life is what we make of it.. if you want to make it bad, no matter what blessings and grace you have received, it'll still be bad...
stop thinking "sian" like all the jaded people out there... you are alive, you are sentient, you probably are able-bodied... these are blessings!!
think of the poor souls in places like Angola, Sierra Leone or those who live in the garbage mountains in the poorest places in the world...
if they struggle to make their own lives worth something, think of what you have here.. how can you do any less? -

but the truth is, how much satisfaction and happiness can one derive by thinking tt he or she is luckier than the ppl living in misery somewhere else on earth? would an unemployed yet still surviving person in singapore think he/she is much luckier than those poor souls and thus become happy? sad (or not) thing is no. we dun make comparisons wif something/someone who is not close to our own standards (in all aspects). we make comparisons wif ppl / places closer to us.
but in the end my unhappiness (or happiness for tt matter) is not cos i was comparing myself wif someone else regardless of where he/she is. its cos of my own situation, myself, some within my control, some not. and no matter how hard i try to imagine how luckier i am to alot more ppl in this world or even this country, i cant make myself happier wif such thoughts.
suffice to say im here oni to rant and vent some frustrations...
and the fact tt i can actualli do tt already means im luckier than yet somemore ppl who has no such channel to vent their anger yet maintain their anonymity.

Yes life is so terribly miserable and meaningless, why the heck do i even bother sometimes I dont really know at all! Its just so depressing when I think about it, but sometimes I think perhaps this is God's Grand plan for me,,,, to suffer life... and it gets kind of peaceful, until the emotions hit again.

Maybe its this place? Maybe its me? Maybe... the fact that I don't know what it is makes it very frustrating, not knowing how to tackle a problem when you don't know the root cause. -
