Am i too heartless?

My guy asked for my address, though he knew but he called to comfirm.
After much guessing, i asked did he order flowers to have it send to my place. He said yap.
Instead of being happy, i told him to cancel it.
First, cos i felt it was a waste of money, but he told me i was worth it and morever, its valentines' day.
I told him, i will be content with just a stalk of Sunflower. Yet he insisted cos its valentines' day.
He sense i'm not really touched or happy with the ideal.. saying he thought i will love the surprise. But i'm not.
Having it to deliver to my place, personally it doesn't feel sincere to me.
So he simply told me he will cancel it. I replied him 'okay, good'
After awhile i felt i was being too heartless & nasty. He was simply trying his best to make me happy, but i dun feel anything for flowers now.
I knew he sure feel disappointed now.. -

Seriously a stalk of sunflower i happy le.. a bouquet doesnt make a difference.
If he didnt ask for my address & give me personally i will sure be touch to tears, but to my place.. so not sincere lor.. -

anyway you shouldn't have rejected it,cas its just only once in a year mah,well i think you beta talk things clear with him,cas im afraid that he might come up with those stoopid thinking that u don't love him anymore or what...... -
He's feeling really upset now. He thinks he did something by mistake that you are angry about. It hurts him, it really does.
If you could give him a call now and tell him that everything is alright. It would really help get his mind of things.

we ended up quarrelling..
I simply told him forget abt the whole flower flower thing. -

I have lots of quarrels with my gf too, many times to the extent she asked to break but she dun mean it coz she say it at the spur of the moment. It hurts me when i hear her say such things. But when she cools down, we become really lovey-dovey again.

I think quarrels are sometimes inevitable in a relationship. It's especially bad when it's because of some very trivial matters. Doesn't matter how it started and how it ended.... Smal matters like these... Just kiss and make up? I'm sure your LOVE for each other means much MORE than these?

I understand how you feel - because in the first place, its dumb of him to ask you straight for your addy and even telling you that he will be sending flowers to your house and lagi best, the reason against your simple desire of wanting just a sunflower is that because it is valentine day. So indirectly your brain will key in this implication: 'So if it is not valentine's day, I suppose I wouldn't be getting such thingy ya?'
Words are dead, speech is alive. Playing around with words is very important in or out (around with crush) of relationship.
P.S: Of course you don't feel anything much. Then again, you should show appreciation for his effort, however little it is. It truely makes people's day good for the next many days. You too would like your effort to be appreciated ya?
