i was in san diego late last year and heard the radio that juliette & the licks is playing in a club there. the band plays punk rock. the juliette is none other than the juliette lewis the hot chick actress. i am not sure if you consider her a poseur, but i think she's authentic.

as the aging rocker here, i would humbly recommend that you all take a listen to the german industrial metal band, die krupps.

i have 2 of their albums; rings of steel and the other one, a tribute to metallica.

in rings of steel, you need to max out your stereo volume for maximum effect. my favourite song is `to the hilt'.

i am not totally convinced of their metallica tribute album and their take of enter sandman and for whom the bell tolls, but it is an interesting album nonetheless, and i am sure a hard to find copy of the cd now.

i also have a sampler given by cleopatra records. it's here that i know of bands like 16 volts, psychopomps and swamp terrorists. obscure, but LOUD!
