I have a supervisor who likes to tell stories during presentations & meetings on how ppl in our company made mistakes in the past, and the mistake cost them their promotion. I think he is trying to let us learnt from other ppl's mistakes.
But the facts of the stories he tells is often distorted and wrong! It happened quite a few times. The mistakes in the stories he related did not happen that way. I know the facts too as I have worked with him for the past 10 over years in the same company.
I wanted to correct him during the meeting but did not, I know it will embarass him. Should I tell him thereafter, or by email, or leave it as it is? I dun wanna step on his toes, but at the same time, I don't feel comfortable that my colleagues are learning through distorted facts.
