however there are always empty blocks with BCs hanging around the depot awaiting for a bus available to take onto the roads. the spare buses arent enough to cope to fill up all the empty blocks.

For Boon Lay, depends on your luck but usually you would get to ride one of them if you are at the right timing. The other time I rode SBS8034 and SBS8035 on 174, i was lucky to get onboard them.

To me Scanias are easy to catch on 174, just be patient and you get it. TT, if you have cancelled out the 'i was lucky to get onboard them' part I guess it would sound more natural.
I know SMRT area no WAB but yeah, if you really want to get a Scania you can ask the office politely, yeah...
