I bought my Nokia N80 just 3 weeks ago , and I'm experiencing some problems with the battery life.
According to the manual, the battery is supposed to give up to 240 hrs of standby time, but so far I've found that it lasts only 3 days max, even with very light usage.
The first time I charged the battery I did it overnight for eight hours, and subsequently for the next 5 or 6 times so far it's just 1 - 2 hours each time. I don't receive nor make many calls, nor do I take a lot of photos or videos, nor do I use much of the 3G services, so I don't quite understand why the battery life is so short.
Is the battery defective? If so, can I get a replacement under the warranty, or do I have to buy a new one, and how much would that cost? Thanks.Edited by dakkon_blackblade 08 Aug `06, 12:46PM

u can last 3 days max alrd very tokkong liao~ usually ppl last 3/4 of the day for N80.
this is because they use a smaller 780mAH battery for god know what reason. N91 and N70 uses 850mAH, E61 and 9500 uses 1500mAH.
replacing battery will not help. there is nothing wrong with the battery. just get a second battery.
this issue was highlighted way before it came out in nokia discussion forums worldwide. a reason why some gave it a miss.

For a moment there, I thought this was another thread dedicated to people who have problems with the n80 battery life.
I have a few suggestions to help alleviate the
battery drain.
1) Don't switch on 3G.
2) Don't use the wifi.
3) Don't leave the phone on when you sleep at night.
4) Don't switch on the display to the brightest setting.
5) Don't use the power save mode, the blinking blue light consumes more energy contrary to your thinking.
6) Don't use the n80 on a warm day, your phone feels laggier. Laggier phones use more energy.
7) Don't leave the phone uncharged at all times.
Don't be stingy and buy a spare battery.
9) Don't forget to bring the spare battery out, if possible, bring all 3.

might as well get another phone without 3G, And wifi

btw, you might as well get a phone without a colour screen, as it has been proven to last for as long as 10 days with usage of about 4 hrs per day ( call, sms)
