Just curious.
Got anyone here get cheated when buying hp from the small retail shop.
I have heard of a few cases of people getting cheated.
The shop gave them fake hp accessories like give fake battery instead of the original one or took away some of the hp accessories like earpiece etc.
Some shop owners take the new hp and use and than change the casing to make it like a new hp and than put it back to sell as a new hp
That is why whenever I want to buy hp, I will buy from starhub shop.

This is very common. Esp famous retail shops like See Seng, Heng Choon, etc. Many shops at Sim Lim do that, too. Pearl centre, as well. It's best to check out the prices before you decide which shop to buy from. A particular shop at Pearl Centre, name "Dr. Mobile", offers pretty attractive prices for certain models, but for some not so high demand models, the salesperson there actually charges alot more, like $100 more than the other shops. I kana once there, as I was outside when my mobile phone was spoilt, and I urgently needed a phone. That one lesson there taught me to be cool and cautious. Also, other than checking out the price, check what comes with the package, as well. Better to be safe than sorry.
