really? the words i'm about to say are usually not said much to people, but these OCs and commanders of these garang companies are usually the condemned personnels thrown aside, hence the fierce attitudes towards their recruits.

hmm i hav heard similar talks too.. not just for the garang coys but in general for bmtc.

actually ninja oc quite nice guy.. talk to him a couple of times.. very friendly and doesn't act big like some others.. in fact he quite welfare to the nsfs under him. he is demanding to the recruits but he leads by example... once i saw his coy running around the parade square... he was running with them in fbo lol.

    • yes the ninja oc was demoted for some past case.. his training is siong yes, he sets a high standard of discipline yes.. but he leads by example.. during route marches he carries the field pack of his recruits who couldn't take it on top of his own..

its commanders like this that makes you push yourself harder..people hated it being under him, but when they passed out and see other instructors, only then do they realize what a good example he was.

btw, how long is the tour for BMTC OCs? This is considered their staff tour also right? The Ninja OC (quite big size one) just came in when i was in Sch 2 a few years back, till now still around ar?

And after demotion, how long it takes to get promoted back?

    • Leopard (L) and Scorpion (S) are the best, OC and PCs of these 2 companies are warrant officers.

as training is gradual, more on stamina, endurance building. very less army technical stuff like fieldcraft or m16 rifle technical handling, only to be covered in the actually bmt phrase (9 weeks).

e.g. route marches within the 13 weeks from 2 to 4 to 6 to 8 to 12 to 16, and then to 24km.

jogging to train endurance (Ability Group Run), alternate sprint;jog to train stamina (30;60, 60;90)...

In fact PTP batch is better compared to direct BMT for those who passed NAPFA. 4-6 weeks of mindset preparation, as well as some time for you to set up your SBO, helmet and everything. Just purely physical training during this period plus some drill practices too, no drawing of arms yet. Whereas those direct BMT intakes will straightaway set up their SBO and draw arms upon enlistment.
