    • Isit true that our police did not bother even to destory all the gambling dens in Singapore?Hmmm, or then how come when i went to Geylang yesterday, i saw four Police Special Operation Forces or so call the Red Car in hokkien, were there but... to my surprise those gambling dens and prositute were not afraid of them. They even carry on their own business as like those police are nothing in their eyes.I i lied about what i said now, i tomorrow will get hit by the thunder. What i am saying now, i am responsible.Next time i will capture the things i saw and put in here for all Singaporeans to see.

We will then get to know, what our police are doing.

Geylang will soon be a place full of the dark side. And later will spread towards the HDB area....!!!

    • As found in NKF, Shin Corp and Mas Selamat, ministers in charge have become complacent so there will be no action taken on gambling or prostitutions going forward especially after starting the IR.

If Prostitutions are to spread widely to all housing estates the Minister like in the Mas Selamat case will still be very bold to appear on TV and give some excuses like it is man nature to seek pleasure so nothing much can be done.

Don't believe. It will be set up all over the Marina, Tanjong Pagar, Joo Chiat, Kampong Glam, Orchard Road, Scotts Road and Ang Mo Kio very soon before IR opens in 2010.

MM admitted complacency but son does'nt believe it.

    • From what I hear, there is a lot of bureaucracy and red tape within the police force itself.

Gambling Dens and Chicken coops are under the jurisdiction of the anti-vice departments, not SOC, hence SOC would not conduct any raid even if its right in front of their eyes.

Same reason why neighbourhood police post guys don't go around stopping cars for speeding.  Its not under their purview.

CNB is even more exclusive. I think they are 1 level higher than the police force.. LOL!

However, if a traffic cop refuses to help u nab a snatch thief (unlikely occurance), he oughta be shot.  IIRC, certain stuff fall into a general category where the officer has to respond regardless of his department.

    • Geylang is a somewhat "legalised area for prostituition lah. You all never read news meh? Wong Kan Seng its better to keep all your prostituition in one area than let them spread out. As such, Geylang is the unofficial area for prostituition. The police will monitor closely, but not take action for prostituition. Only Gambling.

    • dont need to capture anything to show us. we know.

raiding of gambling dens and prostitute are carried out differently.

the police in uniform patrolling that geylang area are not there to catch the prostitutes or the pimps or raid any gambling dens. they are there to make sure police presence is shown to warn those potential trouble maker to stop and rethink what they are about to do.

    • SOC( ang chia) not meant to be catching chickens. they are meant to be suppressing riots and such.

anti vice is the unit that visit geylangs and do their job there.

CNB is another story.their only concerns are 8a n 8b( drug related stuffs), the other concern might be slping with their drug addicts.

SPF (stupid people force) has a pgo that slap police officers that try to do more outside their job scope. eg:

Dept A officers can and will only do work related to Dept A. should they do dept B work, they get f by the superiors for exceeding their jobscope.

      so dont be so alarmed.
