Hey ho!
We're still hanging on. Yes, captain.
MOST DEPRESSING NEWS have hit us, but we're not giving up. By the middle of next year, we will have to move out of our lovely bookstore unit of two years, i.e. 125A Telok Ayer Street. (Goodbye to the tranquil park view.)
We have yet to find a perfect home to start anew; if you know of any spaces up for rent, or if you have any suggestions at all, please do tell us. We would like to thank everyone for your love, concern and friendship for the past two years (for sitting down for hours at a stretch and listening to our woes) and awesome, awesome presents (ranging from lunch & dinner treats, chocolate surprises, antique books, various models of cameras, classic narnian books, a gumball machine, wooden flowers, bird calendars, toy planes, tin toy houses, dvds, a book on cloudspotting, leather stools, a television set... etc.!) WE LOVE ALL YOU CRAZY PEOPLE!
BOOKSACTUALLY IS TWO !
By the end of the month, 29th November, we will be having our 2ND BIRTHDAY, which, most sadly, will be our last birthday celebration at this space / unit. Therefore, YOU MUST TURN UP FOR OUR BIRTHDAY PARTY.
No excuses!
(The first 100 will receive free books with green covers - not just any green but BooksActually-green!)
With love and our chins up,
The BooksActually Kids

Yeah, i thought durian was expensive, but apparently they got good offer…around 8k for quite a reasonable space. Guess its got to do with their falling traffic. Only tourist go there..i think only 10% or less locals actually go there to shop /eat. But since BA’s offerings is pretty local in flavour, it could appeal to the tourist crowd.

Great news guys!!!

----------------------------------------------------
Hello lovely sprites (and hello to you, Spring - it has been a while.)
Our winter hibernation has been long enough!
It's official: we are moving to 5 ANN SIANG ROAD. (It's on the ground floor this time, you can't miss it.)
Our last day at 125A Telok Ayer Street will be 29th February. Please come say goodbye to our beautiful treehouse unit before it's gone.
We will be closed for 2 weeks following that (packing / unpacking / renovations -- The horror, the horror! ), and re-open at 5 Ann Siang Road on 15th March (fingers crossed).
That's all, folks. Be sure to knock on the right door to our bookshop!
Love,
the BooksActually kids
