Dear friends of MPC,
I regret to announce that I will not be organizing any poetry-writing contest this year. In fact, I am seriously thinking of closing this forum due to my other commitments. However, I need to discuss this with my fellow moderators first before making a final decision.

it was fun while we were here... the occasional competitions remind me to WRITE!Maybe partially close, see how. But one thing is for sure i.e. there will be no poetry writing contest this year.

mad pencil club may be gone,
but the spirit n heart will not be forgotten.
thou not very short or very long,
MPC has certainly become part of sgforums.
Over the years people think and and wrote,
for topics like hunger, kiss and dreams.
but now MPC is closing,
and in our mind something will always be missing.
deadpoet the mod of MPC,
you have devoted your time and zest.
for now lets us wait and see,
will MPC remain or be ceased to exist.

Well DP, MPC has most definitely been a land for many residential writers to share their pieces, and it would most definitely be a major shame to let it close down just like this.
Perhaps you can transfer the mantle of leadership to someone you deem suitable for the helm? That way you can concentrate on your other issues, and we would still have a medium to express our literature pieces!
